The whole point of this song was the message on how Jesus always did the right thing but they still hated him and even cucified him. I think the message Nas was sending is no matter how successful you are and how great or good you are people will always still hate you, their self

Clearly this song was puffy feeling untouchable. Biggie and Pac both gone at this point, death row pretty much became irrelevant. This was the really the beginning of the reign of terror of Puff.
