Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 35 Commander Chris Hadfield of the Canadian Space Agency discussed the progress of his mission on the orbital laboratory with students attending a science competition in Edmonton, Alberta during an in-flight event April 9. Hadfield, who is the first Canadian to command the station, is scheduled to return to Earth in mid-May to wrap up a five-month flight aboard the outpost.

Sometimes looking at humanity depresses me. Then I see someone like Chris Hadfield, and it gives me some hope for us.

I want to become an astronaut that’s why I’m studying MTech on Jet Propulsion and Gas Turbine from MSU(Vadodara,INDIA ). And also I’m a big fan of NASA and CSA. I have many ideas to work on that to outer space.

When it flies over my area I give a little wave as it goes by. :-) I find it so amazing that there are people up there so far up. Carl Sagan says we're made of stardust. Maybe the drive that makes us explore space is the stars calling us home.

3:10 You can see the sun rising because the outside of the ISS lightens up. So cool. Also Chris said it's 50% hotter than boiling water. That's incorrect because he went with degrees celcius. If you do it properly (Kelvins) you get 11.82% hotter than boiling water. Go to school Chris ;)

At about 6:00 a girl asks about physiological effects while in space, then Hadfield talks about vision ailments. It brings to mind submarines, and their crews vision ailments. I remember once learning how the navy constructed their torpedo tubes in such a way as to create a long hallway. They also painted the torpedo tubes different colors to create depth. I know this has already been researched but I thought the reference was valid.

Why we can’t attach a fighter plane on ISS which works on space. Some how we can fight or save ourselves from debris or outer objects ( asteroid ) and also test that if in future we have such conditions to fight with outer bodies so we need to train our humans to ready for things...

6:05 he knows the answer but for some reason does not want to explain it... so here it is: look at his face.. did you notice that his face and upper body is bigger than his legs in comparisment? it's because there is no gravitational force working on him.. so he is weightless... the body is used to the weight on earth.. the gravity pulls your blood down.. and less pressure in your upper parts of your body.. but here in space the pressure is equal everywhere.. so his head becomes bigger..

If the sun ray so hot you just need to put your water near the window to heat it up? What energy source use in the iss? Any nuclear energy onboard? What you think if you mating with a women at the ISS then give birth there, you think the baby will grow bigger and faster? Or your sperm cant even stick to her ovaries? How much canada need to pay russia to send you up in total? Any money laundry activity between country in such transaction?
