So they won the truck series and the Xfinity series? I used to be a die hard fan, watched all the racing, been a follower since the late. 60's, but it doesn't seem to possess the same excitement for me anymore. Congrats to Ryan Blaney, that was a pretty exciting race as Blaney battled to get around Larson and Byron on those final laps.

@@randycoursey7230 they did, it’s definitely not the same but this was one of the more entertaining championship races in the past few years. You didn’t really know who was going to win

@@DC-uv1ik Well I followed David Pearson, loved the Silver Fox. And then Davey Allison came along. I loved Davey, he is my all-time favorite driver. When Davy died in that helicopter crash a big part of me died when it comes to NASCAR.

Thank god this weekend wasnt wasted by us having a full season points system. I dont like the current system either buy my god the days of motorsports having a champion locked up a month before the season being over is fantastic.

It wasn't a month prior, that's BS. But I'd much rather have the old Winston format back and I'm a Blaney fan. Exaggeration gets you no where.

Went to my first race in 1994 at the October Charlotte date and Dale Earnhardt clinched the title that race.

The competitive nature of NASCAR will almost guarantee a title fight until the very last race even with a full season format. This isn't F1

Both Byron and Larsen. That was actually pretty exciting. It was a good race. Nobody had a thing for Chastain. Blaney finally figured he'd better settle for a second. He had a real good car, but it wasn't as good as Chastain's.
