I didn’t even realize there was a difference lol. The diecast body and chassis cars were on sale during Black Friday for 8.50 on circle b and thought they were normal. Had to come see what the difference was. Great explanation.

It really sucks they don't have rubber tyres anymore on the metal chassis ones. Hope they come back. I do still prefer the feel of the metal bodies though. I'm kind of with you in that for special cars like favourite drivers/schemes or important race wins, I think I'll go metal.
