Danica Patrick worked for 7 years, ran 53,500 laps, finished only 24% of the races she started, had only one win in Japan in the Indy Car, but still made $12.3 mil. I honestly can't criticize her....I can't make a dime on stats like that.

If Johanna Long could have gotten Danica's equipment we would have had a female champion a long time ago. She did amazing in some of the worst equipment available.

I really feel for Johanna Long. Fairly talented driver that always made the best the crappy equipment she had. Still remember Richmond a few years ago when she was Top 10 or Top 15 a lot of the race in the crappy #70 only to be taken out in a wreck of somebody else’s making. Shame she’s essentially out of racing. And Jennifer Jo Cobb I’ll always give credit for not wanting to be just a field filler and love she was willing to sacrifice her career to not start & park. Mediocre at best driver, but definitely deserves credit.

i remember that race. it was so cool seeing her run in the top 5 for a little bit, even passing Denny Hamlin. she didn't get wrecked though, the right front brake rotor overcooked the right front tire and blew. should've had a top 10 finish at Daytona in 2013 but they piled it up in turn 1 with like 5 to go

Yeah, but compared to David Stremme in the same car she didn't finish nearly as well week-to-week. He was like 10 spots ahead of her in average start and finish.

Johanna Long have more finishes ahead of Danica when she started in races, but sponsors went to Danica. Dale JR. and Kelly tried to lineup sponsors for Long to give her a better equipment but no sponsors wanted to sponsor her. They wanted to sponsor Danica. It was unfair to the other female drivers who do have more talent than Danica.,

F__k you. Kahne just screwed up. I used to like Kasey. But this was on Kahne. He turned down as if he didn't know the 10 was there. This has been typical of Kahne during that period of time. One stupid mistake after another.

Danica's crash (last clip) gave me the fear something awful as I was watching it live. That car looked like it didn't touch the ground before it hit the barrier. Imagine a crash that hard for any driver a few years prior...

The worst thing that happened to Danica was when she was leading an Xfinity race at Road America. Some fool of a fan threw their pair of shoes over the fence right in front of her splitter - breaking her rear suspension.

I was at the Daytona race where Jennifer joe Cobb had the fiery crash. That was also the race dale jr won in the 3 car with the wrangler paint job. That's right, be jealous.

Just to be fair, most of her crashes were by bone-headed drivers around her, mechanical failures such as blown tires, in the Kansas wreck Logano blew a brake rotor that shot his car into her. Daytona and Talladega is 50/50 nowadays because you either win or crash trying to put yourself in position to win.

Danica Patrick. Her crashes technically mean crashes she was involved in. When Ward Burton crashed at Bristol in 2002 was because of lack of talent? No. In that race at Bristol, Junior got into the back of him and used the chrome horn, and Junior got his heel pads in his window net. Don't make me rephrase my words, you know what I'm talking about.

Actually, the reason she kept getting caught up in those crashes is DUE to her lack of talent. People always cry about her wrecks not being her fault, and maybe not directly, but it's her fault she got involved in the crash. She does not have the track awareness to avoid incidents. Never has.

Not really, she wasn't as bad as many make her out to be. She finished 10th one year and had 14 top 10's. She got pushed around by the boy's club when she got to famous. Then again, she did wreck her very first and very last race, lol.

Out of all of them, Joanna Long have the most talent. She won a Snowball Derby short track race over Kyle Busch and others in that race. Dale JR and his sister wanted to get her in a JRMS car in Xfinity, but they could not get a sponsor for her. The sponsors wanted to sponsor the talentless Danica Patrick.

It's all well and good talking about Safer barriers on that last crash but she never would have hit that wall as fast and as hard as she did if there had been gravel between her and the racetrack or at the very least some seriously rough pavement to help slow her car down.

After listening to Jr and his sister on his podcast talking about Danica on I think the Hallie Deegan episode, they talk about how Danica might have had better results if she had run another season of the Xfinity series instead of jumping straight to Cup series when she did. Don’t know if that was her choice or if the team wanted to her to make the jump.

In my opinion, with the ARCA series becoming a division of NASCAR effective the beginning of 2020, Decker and Hailie Deegan can give each other a run for the money. One thing to note about Deegan: Given her birthday in accordance to next year's Camping World Trucks Series schedule, and NASCAR's rules on drivers running on tracks of at least 1.5 miles (not allowed to until 18), I doubt she will join the Truck Series next year.

I stopped watching NASCAR after watching how the other drivers treat these women who want to compete in race car. These male drivers are so desperate to keep these women behind them that they often overdrive a poor handling car and wreck. It is really sad. All drivers are ego maniacs. Tell me I'm wrong. Kyle Busch is the poster child of Ego Maniacs.

Kahne caused that wreck, Logano's blown tire/rotor (something in front) caused that wreck. Elliot spinning wrecked Danica & others. Kvapil spun came back & caught Cobb. McDowell caught Danica in left rear. Tire blew on Danica's car. Labonte bumped Crocker. This is to all those who are always blaming women drivers for accidents, and they shouldn't be in NASCAR. This is more than Half the videos, and there is more proof scattered throughout the videos on KZfaq of mechanical failures and other issues causing the wreck. Every single one of these, and the mechanical failures could happen to the guys too, just remember that.

Patrick clearly comes up the track into kahne, look at the gap between Patrick's car and the line on the track. That gap grows as she comes up the track, kahne stayed in his racing line the whole way. I will agree that a good portion of her wrecks werent her fault, but that one was.

Literally all the other you listed I completely agree with, but that first one with kahne was on her, maybe her car had a mechanical failure and that's why she came up, or perhaps she wasnt experienced enough with side drafts yet. But I've watched that wreck dozens of times and she clearly moves up the track, and kahne seemingly doesnt come down or up, just holds his line.

@@joelhadfield5205 I'll give you that, because as you said... Inexperience with side drafting or something else wrong. It didn't look intentionally done, at any case.... But, onus on her. Experience in Indy racing might not be enough for side drafting, as didn't bother Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart have similar issues when they first started?

It seemed like the better Danica was running at any given time, the harder she crashed. If she was running badly and off-pace she'd do a lazy spin, but if she was running top 15 or even top 10 she'd be head-on into the wall.

Luck just wasn't on her side... her crashes literally depended on how she was doing in a race. The better she was doing, the worse the crash was. And she walked away from it every freaking time. Danica should've done mma for as tough as she is.

That first one, man. Someone blows a tire well behind the wreck right in front of her, she clips them, and I bet she had little to no steering coming in. Nothing I remember her being involved in was ever her fault.
