Amazing how different people can look at things Kurt looks at Jimmy with a sense of Respect. I didn’t get *any* of that when Spencer was on the DJD a few years ago. Really shows both their characters

Yeah but that doesn't excuse kurt threatening jimmy's family right before he responded him with a punch then him getting unesscessarily suspended even though kurt should've been the one with the consequences with his poor behavior on the track. I get it that this was a long time ago, but that was beyond uncalled for what kurt did to spencer.

@@LessGo7921 People are entitled to their own opinion, there's most likely more truth to the story that we as the public or fans don't know about which we can't make a definitive conclusion to this whole controversy from the past. By the way Jimmy talks on dale jr's podcast, it sounds like he's speaking the truth and it's not him trying intently to be mean to kurt in a negative and nonchalant way. Kurt I feel just was looking for something to be dramatic about which caused jimmy's reactions as expected. And kurt tried to sweep it under the rug like it's jimmy's problem in nasty and an unesscessary way that pretty much wasted both of their time. The best way that jimmy could've done in the past to negate them getting upset with each other is to not react to kurt and walk away from him and move on. It is what it is at the end of the day.

It's a shame that Busch didn't do a Darlington Throwback to Spencer's Target No.41 during his time at Stewart-Haas driving that exact same number. Missed opportunity there.

Kurt Busch…. The only racer I rooted for, then despised, then rooted for again. The bottom line is this: like him or not, the guy is the epitome of a racer.

If you watched the dale jr download, what kurt left out is the fact that spencer stated that Kurt threatened his family which made him react with a punch then him getting suspended even though technically kurt should've been the one getting consequences for his bad behavior and him threating jimmy's family. That right there strongly suggests kurt's bad demeanor to spencer and some other drivers like earnhardt at one point. So yeah, Spencer is entitled to dislike what kurt did to him, rightfully so. I understand this happened many years ago, but that was beyond uncalled for kurt to threaten his family like that. And to my knowledge, he didn't apologize to spencer about that.

@@ashketchumsdad During the Dale Jr Download, Jimmy Spencer was talking about how Dale Sr, after the 2001 Daytona 500, came up to him and told him how much he hates Kurt Busch. He also said a bunch of other stories (including the threatening my family story which i highly doubt) that have nothing to back them up. Jimmy’s entertaining but he still dislikes Kurt and thinks it’s still 2010/11

I would love for Kurt Busch and Jimmy Spencer to sit down and have a discussion about all that. One thing for sure It was a great rivalry and it was real. That had to be in the top 10 of NASCAR feuds. Fans where all into that and it wasn't for Kurt's benefit. Now that Kurt Busch is leaving I hope fans appreciate his HOF career as much as I do. There would be alot of fan interest to see Spencer and Kurt rehash that great moment in time.
