Harrison Burton flips during the 2022 Daytona 500 after getting loose off Brad Keselowski's bumper. Other drivers involved include Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Ross Chastain, Kyle Busch, Christopher Bell, and Alex Bowman.

The way Harrison initially went over reminds me a lot of Newman’s 2003 flip in the 500. Up until it went completely over it looked a lot like Newman.

Few things, and only with respect that all drivers this weekend at least between Xfinity and Cup, didn't catch the trucks, are ok. It's cool to see what they actually have done to the floor of the Cup cars with the flat bottom and diffuser, having watched NASCAR for the past 22 years I'm not surprised this is how we got the first shot of the floor, definitely not animated? (To my knowledge). Second, I enjoyed the race I watched more intently than I have in years, but I'm curious what everyone else thinks about the fact that these new cars get "beached" with flat tires, probably due to the new floor and clearly wheels and tires? Kinda sucks if your driver missed the wreck but ended up blowing out a few tires to miss it, and possibly goes a lap or more down waiting for a truck to push or tow them back, even though they suffered no further damage.

Thereve been plenty of non blowover flips at Daytona and Talladega too. (Jeff Gordon in 2012, Kurt Busch in 2013, Parker Kligerman and Kyle busch in 2014, AJ Allmendinger in 2017, the infamous Newman wreck in 2020)

It might not seem like it but it has nothing to do with the speed its all about aerodynamics. I mean, we almost had a late model blowover this year EDIT: Obviously you need to be going fast enough but what i mean is the aerodynamics have the liftoff speed way lower than what youd think

@@bryonkidder6199 where was he supposed to go? I watched that wreck. Keselowski was pushing him physically with his bumper, and they were high on the outside coming out of a turn. Between the 2 wrecks that he caused, Keselowski destroyed over a half-million in cars and parts, yet nothing gets said? Those were no accidents and I hope to heaven that he never comes up behind someone on a highway and decides he doesn't like their driving. With a temper like that, he will eventually hurt someone.
