Seeing the family in the South African slums that were happy even though the have terrible living conditions made me smile.Even though they may suffer or have low cash,they still enjoy life.

my dad lives/grew up in San Francisco, and i love to visit him. and whenever we walk past a homeless person, whether he just spent money, or he does not have much on him, he always gives at least 1$ to them. i realized that the reason he does this is because when people are down he always try's to cheer them up, and the homeless need a hero, so he gives them one. this realization made me grow up loving to help in any way i could. and when i grow up i want to be able to give everything i can, to the homeless, whether i just spent money, or i dont have much on me. because my dad is my hero, so i want to fallow in his footsteps, and hopefully one day. I will be someones hero. have a great rest of your day. and thank you for reading my comment. :)

And the sad part that nobody mentions is that the middle class are slowly drifting towards poor. Some even poverty. My point is that no one will help them as they have the money to do so, but for how long? .

As a person who lives in South Africa I've witnessed the gap countless times ,it's a a system designed to separate rich and poor made to feed to rich and eat of the poor.

Being an Indian whenever u go outside to buy something or go somewhere when u stop ure car somewhere u will see poor people selling balloons and Keychain and even doing magic tricks and what not for money they also clean our windshield and everything that's why every year my family goes and gives them a bit of food and one day we took part of some kinda give food to poverty people and they made a Lotta khichdi (Indian oats) and they fed around 500 people

I live in a rich family in a very nice area and I have never really heard the word "poor" often. I have only come to realize in the last few years that I am extremely privileged and there is another side. I went into the city with my parents to go spend thousands of dollars on items when i saw taking a short cut through an alleyway the first homeless person I had ever seen. It made me feel extremely guilty that I saw someone living in the cold and with nothing, while I have just spent so much money on items. I also have a massive warm house to go home to that is way to big for us, and could probably house at least a dozen more people in it. I reached into my pockets and I only had notes and my parents card. I gave him a $50 that I had and told him "I hope this helps" and continued on my way to the car.

Wealth and power go hand in hand...we have extremes between rich and poor.

Money used to be a reward for those who did work, if you didn’t have much of it, you were chill and if you had lots of it, you were still chill. But now, if you don’t have enough you can’t live, you can’t have a partner, you can’t have food, water, or even medical supplies.

I don't make much, very little that I don't make ends meet at times, but I do what I can if I see someone in need. It can be just giving advice or a book. He built a big house where we use to live and if they don't do that then I would live in a slum-like them. thanks to grandfather and their hard work. they also come from slum areas. that motivates me to work hard in life in every situation.

That was a great message. The best I have seen in a good while. I used to live in a bad condition when I was a kid in India but Education and the quest for a better life changed my course of life. Give them access to good education and prop them up with good skills and they will get better in life. I am not rich now but I am able to live a better life now.

I live in a small flat but I do have a lot of money but I like to save money and not spend it on things I don’t need and also you know like the saddest part of where I live Mumbai there is a slum right next to our house called the Dharavi and litterky is the saddest part of Mumbai that’s why I am grateful for my parents and everything god gave me
