The Indian flag was created much much earlier than french flag came into existence. At first, it had red color instead of orange and a sun and a moon. And then before independence they turned the red into orange and placed a Ashok chakra in the centre. The current flag, three stripes of saffron, white and green and a navy blue Ashok chakra in the centre was the later and last version. Saffron represents strength of the country, white represents peace, green shows fertility and the blue chakra represents truth and honesty.
