He was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2003 by the Government of India for his contributions towards Indian cinema. He has also started a theater group called Motley Productions with Tom Alter and Benjamin Gilani. +Rajshree Noyan I agree with your intention, but why should we Indians aspire or look towards Hollywood as the gold standard of cinema? Naseer ji, like many many Indian actors, is millions times better than most Hollywood icons. We must celebrate our people, our stars and our icons. It is Clint Eastwoods of the hollywood who failed and should have aspired to be a cinema icon like Nasser ji.

At that point, Farah had only made Mai hoon na and Om Shanti Om. Not great movies, but great masala movies.
