Very easy procedure, do not listen to anyone trying to scare you. I felt very very slight tickling sensation never choked or anything. Breathe easy, it will be ok!

I was not aware I was going to have this exam, i originally went about just my ears. Turned out my issues were all to do with my nose. He did the exam without anaesthetic and it was very painful so he did use it after.

whaaat I've had 2 done now and never had local anaesthetic spray! in UK too. Same with my endoscopy though, that was horrendous feeling like you are choking to death is hideous but the Dr i had didn't want to use throat spray, didn't even ask if I wanted it!

It feels so weird I’ve had this done all the way to my throat and I’ve had the camera go down to my esophagus for a swallowing test it’s very uncomfortable

Is the endoscope tube supposed to be able to go all the way up both nostrils down into the throat does anyone know? I just had one done and he wasnt able to gst the tube all the way up one side so I'm just wondering now if that's normal??

4 months ago I went to ent complaining about white green mucus from left nostril and how tired I was blowing nose .he prescribed a spray and tablets .I never used the spraybut consumed tablets for a month .but waited for 3 months to see it will go away but it did not stop, now the condition is that the mucus is dark yellow gluish and I can feel bad smell in my left nostril .I am woried others around will smell it .pls can u guide after these symptoms what illness is working at the background? Sir I hve no pain or discomfort to suspect foreign object apart from these discharge.

This was the most painful shit ever. Then again, my nose turned out to be weird so it's probably not painful for most 😭

Can this test help with LPR reflux? My throat is hurting, no doubt from acid from stomach. I have already done Endoscopy a couple of years ago but this sensation is fairly new. Please advise

i have seen about 8 ents in the uk about my empty nose syndrome and none of them done all of the nose tests shown in this video they all knew i suffer from ens they all knew that also i have awfull nose and face pain.Maybe they do all these tests if you see an ent private in uk??.all the ents i saw in uk just stuck an endoscope in my nose and said all looks fine.i asked some of them how much of my inferior turbinates are reduced they just ignored my questions they just did not want to awnser that question .one of them did say about 25 to 30 %.my ct scan report did not mention my reduced inferior turbinates.and its so obvious to see that on the scan.i complained to radiology department and they said they didnt think it was relevant to my symptoms and that they dont report everything they see.MY REDUCED INFERIOR TURBINATES is what is causing my empty nose syndrome!!.drs/ents/radiology/must think we will just go away and suffer and not ask questions about our ens .they wont even awnser you when you ask how much of your turbinates are reduced!.if you have empty nose syndrome dont bother seeing an ent on the nhs in the uk.there all the same.they all hate the ens word.i think its part of thier training to deny ens exists.i dont think i will ever come across an ent that will have a turbinate reduction done on themselves unless it was something really bad like cancer.am i right or not?

I did this it felt odd, slightly painful. Didnt like it. My innate reaction was to back away from the camera tube while it was in my nose, but the Dr insisted i push my head forward into it. Then having to say " EEEEEEE' . Not fun. found a tiny cyst on my vocal cord. I was having a tickle sensation everytime i spoke. Dr didnt take the cyst serious and told me im fine. Uh ok?

My noses freqently block, feeling much dificulty in breathing. Most of the time I am to use nasal fast relief. Any advice please

That was the most uncomfortable thing ever for me! The lidocaine (anaesthetic) was disgusting and the camera itself was very uncomfortable. But the procedure was very quick and only took 1/2 mins or less. The worst part is the anaesthetic for me as it makes you feel like you can’t breathe and throat feels tight. It’s been half an hour and the dr said it would only feel like this for 5 mins but I still feel like that 😞

I went to an ENT for nose difficult breathing then he suggested me to do Diagnostic Endoscopic Test to find the problem. He sprayed one spray and numbing solution and did the test Thats how its all started. I have continues feeling of mucus in my throat need to always swallow. And some discomfort in stomach and wind pipe im sensing. Im thinking that Post Nasal Drip or LPR are the cause of the problem. If anybody going through the same issues help me to get out of this . I also have sleep issues bcoz of this problem

Slightly wrong technique. One should refrain from having the speculum hitting the septum wall as it can be very painful.
