She would not have stumbled around above deck. RW likely dragged her on deck, knowing how terrified she'd be. He went too far with his rage. And got away with it.

I almost drowned at age 11 in the Colorado River. My Father attempted to rescue me and went under and his body was found two weeks later. Myself and family speculated he may have had a heart attack. I still remember struggling and being terrified almost 50 years later.

I almost drowned in a creek cause I got lost in the woods in the winter at night. I used to go hang out in the woods near where I was living at the time. I would just walk around, climb trees or up on the old bridge above the creek and watch the ppl in canoes go by. Listening to my little cd music player w/ headphones. Almost 20 years ago. I stayed too long and it got dark. I thought I knew my way out but it got so dark I couldn't see. I started panicking cause I couldn't find my way out around the creek. I knew the one part of the creek faced the direction of where I lived. It was also the part of the creek where one water way spilled into the creek so I could hear the water rushing loudly. I was scared and freezing and just wanted to get out of there fast. I couldn't see anything! So I held my mini backpack over my head and started walking across. At first it went halfway up my chest. There were rocks under my feet and they were super slippery like they were covered in something. The rushing water was pushing me. It was FREEZING! This is late November in Ohio back when it was REALLY COLD in that month! As I got closer to the middle I took a step and my foot went down low. The water came up past my chin! I had to tilt my head back to not swallow the water. I started thinking at that point I'm going to get swept away and either drown or die by hypothermia. It was so hard to stay steady. I was crying and praying. I was already halfway and I couldn't turn back now cause I was soaked. I prayed so hard the rest of the way. I finally made it out and onto the other side. I had a good 20 minute walk home after that. And I never went back to the woods again. I damn near had a panick attack remembering that night to talk about it. But I couldn't imagine being a child and then having my own father drown trying to save me. That must have been terrifying and completely heart-wrenching. I'm so sorry.

Same with me in a river once. I was struggling in a terrible current and fatiguing to the point I knew it was over, but suddenly started feeling the bottom and began hopping toward the shore with what little I had left in me. I had nieces and nephews there and had just helped a nephew get his footing before I lost mine. I thought all were about to witness me actually die before their very eyes. Rough.

I can personally attest to this! I had a situation where I had to get into a dinghy straight from the water. Being in the ocean compounds it. It's not as if you're in a calm relatively shallow lake or pond. I'm 127lbs 5'5 and pretty strong for a female. I'm not a fitness nut but I do work out. Pffft, for the life of me I could NOT get into the dinghy! Thankfully my friend was able to pull me up and into the boat. Even if it were a life/death situation, I don't think I could've gotten into it on my own volition.

"refused to search for her" is quite a harsh conclusion. If they had been sitting in the cabin drinking and suddenly wondered where she had been gone and they found both her and the dingy missing it's plausible they thought she had gone into land. And it's also plausible they didn't start worrying about her until a couple of hours later when she never returned. It doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

Probably waited so he could sober up like Ted Kennedy did after he left Mary Jo Kopechne to drown.

I would’ve called the minute I discovered she was gone. Natalie was terrified, I mean, terrified of dark water she would never have tried to go in the dinghy that wasn’t the type of person she was. She would’ve got Dennis Davern up and got him to do it but they a test on the boat that’s in Hawaii nowthe splendor, and they bang that thing up against it and a guy was inside and he said I couldn’t hear a thing and that was on the calm day. It was just an excuse they used Wagner is guilty about something.

The two men during those two hours concocting some story for the world, no doubt.

In my opinion, Robert is quilty of her demise. He got away with murder. No way she ended up in the water on her own accord. She was terrified of the water especially in the dark. The whole story Robert gave is ludicrous, questionable and suspect.

Natalie may have been drunk enough and upset/angry enough to have said "Screw this, I'm going back to land." About 20 years ago I was on vacation with my now ex-fiance. This is back when I used to drink heavily and one particular night I was pretty ripped. My (then) fianceé and I had gotten into an argument. We were staying in a rented beachfront condo. It was around midnight and I was pretty pissed off from arguing and decided to go for a walk on the beach to calm down and burn off some anger. I don't know what possessed my stupid ass but I ended up walking out a pier, jumped into the ocean and swam back to the beach. Pitch darkness in choppy waves and I'm really not the greatest swimmer. To make things worse, I started to get pulled further out by a rip-tide. Thankfully I had enough cognitive use of my brain to remember to swim horizontally to the shore if caught in a rip-tide. I definitely had a guardian angel looking out for me that night. I ended up being in the water for 15-20 minutes. Like I said, I'm not the best swimmer. I thank my lucky stars/guardian angel/God/the Universe...whatever kept me from drowning that night. Honestly, I probably should've died given the circumstances. The sea, being drunk and pissed off fighting with your significant other is never a good combo .

Natalie was terrified of water in darkness. As I understand it, she and Robert had a very heated argument over Christopher and her friendship. Shortly after Christopher excused himself to retire for the evening Natalie allegedly dissappeared. It's all too suspicious in my opinion. There's definitely more to this story and Robert know's what that information is.

She ran screaming from the house, filed for divorce the next day, had a nervous breakdown, and didn't work for a year. Read "Natasha: The Story of Natalie Wood" by Suzanne Finstad. It's been awhile since I read it; I hope I got the title right! There are harrowing incidents in this book that you will never forget, believe me.

She never got into the dinghy. See the interview on the Dr. Oz TV show. He interviewed the captain of the boat. She had bruises all over her body. After watching the interview, I strongly suspect that RJ beat her up and possibly knocked her out... and probably placed her body in the water himself.@@marilynbrown5274 He made CW and the Captain corroborate their stories to cover up what really happened. CW and the Captain were not eyewitnesses, but they heard the fight going on between RJ and Natalie. Then, suddenly it was quiet... and suddenly Natalie was "missing", according to RJ. Pretty sure that RJ is guilty of manslaughter, whether intentional or not.

Plus Darvon is a narcotic pain killer if I remember correctly from my forensic classes in college. Mixing pain killers and alcohol intensifies the effect of both. However, I think Wagner had something to do with her death as well.

What does not make sense. Long history of the dingy getting too much slack in the line and banging against hull of yacht. Many friends that had been on the boat spoke on it. She turned in early in front cabin and could not sleep because of banging . Got up, went to the deck to tighten line ,slipped when pulling dingy close because she was a little tipsy and we know the end. Completely explains why dingy was not prepared for operation,it was in off position and oars were rigged. The current pulled her away from yacht with dingy and slight rash from her trying to get into it. When they stated her down jacket weighed 40lbs because it was soaked that is the clincher. Maybe if she had been less under the influence she might have tried taken the coat off but who knows. When family and friends that were close talk about this which is rare now,not one ,except her disturbed sister ,still trying to ride her coattails ,speak ill of RJ, or give any of this conspiracy any Creedence at all.Just a really tragic accident. The captain literally had to change his story before the publisher agreed to the book deal. Reeks of money motivation.Their marriage was good with no prior history of violence. This whole conspiracy was too sell more Papers and national inquiries at the time nothing more.

Sounds like she was extremely, intensely, nervous (just for a photo shoot?) and she needed a distraction. I read she was adorable, of course, but child like in many ways. I can understand this if your whole life has been orchestrated for you and decisions are made for you. Making your very own decisions can be overwhelming and intense. She is still missed to this very day, bless her.

When they stated the down vest weighed 40lbs when soaked that was shocking,I know myself, not being the strongest swimmer, if I was in the same situation with that extra weight and was not able too pull myself up fairly quickly than I would probably end up the same. It's not that difficult to comprehend but some just are drawn to the drama or conspiracy versions. Most times with someone famous they cannot grasp that they are just regular people who are just as vulnerable to life's unexpected twists and tragedies like everyone else.

I'm inclined to think the bruises were not associated with her death. Bruising doesn't happen immediately after the reason for it occurs. We all have noticed a bruise and not immediately knowing why it's there. And like you said, being around boats it just happens. But Robert's behavior sure was odd. Didn't even want to identify the body.
