I think its so beautiful to watch Katharine being coached, and really taking the notes, and applying them without questions. She's just allowing her voice to be the instrument without any ego attached. Such a wonderful artist, who clearly is still willing to grow and learn

Perks of having a vocal coach as a mother!
@vincentjohnflorio4 жыл бұрын
I didn't really know much about vocal coaching, and just thought of it as "singing lessons" without even really knowing in any detail what *that* meant. Then I saw Michael Jackson in his documentary right before he died and being coached and I thought, "Why would he need them?" But I imagine when you're at this high of a level like these women that's a big part of the professionalism is conditioning so that all the raw ability and practice comes through.

Natalie’s coaching instincts demonstrate an insanely profound understanding of vocal mechanics. Masterful.

It’s so insane how psychological singing can be. In my lessons I can do all the exercises well, but when it comes to singing a song i get scared of the notes or singing too loud and pull back. I honestly think this channel, along with my lessons, have helped me improve my singing and confidence when singing 😊
@nztheatreluva4 жыл бұрын
It's so psychological! I know when I'm relaxed I can hit far higher notes confidently than when I'm nervous - that's why you've got to train your body to work right even when your brain isn't in it.
@when_life_gives_you_lemons46114 жыл бұрын
Yesss, or when I’m singing in mixed I chicken out and it all goes downhill

Singing is such a physiological and strenuous exercise,its why some of us play instruments instead.. Although I'm a drummer,so I'm using all four limbs,which can be pretty tiring as well!!.

Isn’t it so amazing to watch? I’m in awe of every video Natalie uploads purely because every critique she gives, is something I’ve never been able to explain or understand myself but she explains things better than anyone I’ve ever met before. It’s truely a blessing to watch.

It calms me, to see performers that I admire, train, rehearse and, sometime, struggle with technique. Because it makes them human, and helps me with my mindset, when I have to practise my own singing and when I struggle with the techniques. Mostly it makes me happy that no matter how known a performer is over the world, they still have to practise like the rest of us, and they can also make mistakes just like us. Thank you for sharing the session.

How are all of her students able to add such a beautiful vibrato on command anytime?! This is soo hard in my opinion >.
@grayk74554 жыл бұрын
I know! I'm a new student to singing and I don't have vibrato yet and I'm really confused about whether it's a natural thing or whether you mentally have to think about it every time.

@mylord93954 жыл бұрын
All of her students are already singers and have basic singing technique and knowledge. Some are really good but still need some help but nobody is like a starter. Check out Jacob's Vocal Academy. They've got exercises for everything and you learn real fast add that to listening to Natalie and observing boom! It's all easy.
@gregorywiederecht4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the singer. Like, it didn't come naturally to me. But I've been working really hard on it, and now I can do it on command. In my case, it was just a matter of getting better breath control
@yoboi_____86754 жыл бұрын
Gray K it will come in time as you sing. As long as your using somewhat proper technique it will naturally develop as you keep singing. Once you “have it” it’s not something you really have to think about, it will just happen

it's so incredible to watch a professional practice and struggle the same way I do. My lessons look just like this, and I always think I sound like shit because I'm always working on things and making little mistakes. It makes me scared to practice sometimes because my voice is so loud and I don't want people to hear how horrible I am. Watching this, it's clear that she never sounds 'bad,' she's just refining the sound. I'm not saying that I have her instrument, but it makes me feel a lot better
