Love everything about this video, card and envelope. I chuckled as you made the envelope as I have invested in a couple of envelope dies, an envelope punch board and other misc tools over the years and in a matter of less than a minute, you made a matching envelope that fits your card perfectly with nothing but your brain. You go girl!😂

Love the card! I've watched soooo many of your videos and love everyone of them. I made some slim line cards and envelopes after watching your tutorials and used my butterfly dies to cut out several places on a card matt and some glitter pad sheets to cut a second butterfly out to pop them into the card matt. Those cards will be used for a Mother's Day Tea at Church. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful techniques and tips. Can't wait to try the rub-ons. Much love and blessings.

Thank you so much for this great video. I’m a Gramma who is new to cardmaking and am not the most artistic person in the world, so thank you for your great instructional videos. Many videos make instructions way too confusing. I don’t even know what they’re talking about,especially when they start whipping out numbers.🤔 Just because it was so fun, I made five envelopes this afternoon.😀 Again, thank you for making crafting possible for me.

The clear embossing on the vellum is absolutely stunning! 💕Something new to me. I love the look of rub-ons and they’re so easy to use. I usually make my own envelopes as well, but never thought of using patterned paper for the inside, but that kind of eliminates the need for a liner and creates a beautiful look. Now I know what to do with some of my patterned paper! 🥰

Love cubed. Great decision to not put on sentiment on the front of the card. I think handmade cards are becoming over "sentimental" on their covers. Sometimes it takes away from the gorgeous artwork or the sentiment itself seems too random and does not fit the feel or style of the card. Instagramming has made making cards have to be so photo perfect for that one cover shot that we forget that there is room inside to express the real purpose of card making. I think that is why I love your cards so much, they are beautiful without pretension.
@NatashaFooteCreative
@NatashaFooteCreative 2 жыл бұрын
I actually agree with you a lot on this. I find myself more and more leaning towards not putting a sentiment on the front - I think we have the inside to express the meaning of the card, and I also find that generally, it makes the cards much more versatile, and they don't get categorized so early on when a sentiment is on the front!

What a lovely, classical card, it's shot to the top of my to do list :) I'm slightly nervous about embossing vellum but I have a ton of it from my pergamano craze of yesteryear so plenty to practise on. As others who have commented, I have a preference for classically elegant styles like this not to bear sentiments on the front and it does make cards more versatile when making a batch of them to keep for various occasions that haven't yet occurred, such as when you need a get well soon or a sympathy card and just don't have time or inspiration to start one from scratch. However there is always the risk of sending the same card for birthday and sympathy at different times to the same person - eek! I absolutely love your work, thank you very much :)

This is a beautiful card. I love anything using "mixed media" techniques. I know this isn't a true mixed media card but it gives the appearance of one. Here's a tidbit of info (for whatever's it's worth - lol) to adhere velum to cardstock. I've watched KZfaq videos, posted by Sara from Paper Wishes, where she demonstrates her use of a glue stick to attach velum to white cardstock (can't remember if she uses it with colored cardstock). Yes, I know there are details that don't always show on the camera but SHE claims the glue stick doesn't show and I sure don't see it when she moves the project around under the light/camera!!! It might be worth a try so the edges of the vellum don't get caught when putting the card back in the envelope. If it doesn't work, you and/or your kids can always use the glue stick for other things! TFS!
