I must say, wolves seem like an...odd choice to side with christian biblical reference. considering wolves are generally seen as those of evil.

psycosanches589 I think it's so that the "good" Christian and Holy image is both subverted AND supported by the savagery and passion and animalistic nature of Wolves on the hunt. Or maybe I'm looking way too much into a cool design choice, who knows?

I’m late to a comment thread again. Oops. Someone mentioned that if you looked across a lot of Powerwolf’s songs, they all came together to the idea that vampires and werewolves had taken over the Catholic Church.

actually their usage of wolves is a reference to two things, in the bible it mentions Jesus bey referring to him as a "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" meaning he is kind and gentle but ferocious when needed, the second being that werewolves are very prominent in Romanian Slavic Folklore, which of most band members are Romanian and Catholic.
