This is one of my favorite things to do with a perfect faro shuffle. It involves a 52 card deck and cutting the cards exactly at 26 each time. Check out my video blog post if you want to learn the Secret To Learning The Faro Shuffle.

I'm getting a ton of great comments. Thank you! I do want to address some of the skeptics. :) The video is not in reverse. I did speed up a few slow spots to keep it quick, but it's 100% legit. No other edits. If you think about it, it's not possible in reverse. Literally would be more amazing. My mind would be blown. 💥 lol😂 Here’s a link to the full performance as taught by the master and creator, Paul Gertner I tried posting a link, but KZfaq doesn't allow links in comments. SO... Please search my channel for "Marked Unshuffled Card Trick by Magician, Nate Jester" and you'll see the FULL UNCUT PERFORMANCE WITH A LIVE AUDIENCE! Thank you for your likes, comments and subscribes. @@SeattleMagician You write the words first on a unshuffled deck, then you do your first pharaoh shuffle, then you start recording adding that little mark in the beginning, so it seems like you wrote all those lines, then the first pharaoh shuffle is actually the second shuffle, three shuffles' later back to an unshuffled deck... so I'm I right?

One of the few tricks I’ve seen where the solution is that the magician is just doing what he appears to be doing, and it’s an impressive skill.
@bigmeatswangin5837
@bigmeatswangin5837 5 ай бұрын
No he really isnt. The cards are arranged beforehand and carefully realigned as he "unshuffles" the deck. Every truly shuffled deck of cards is a unique shuffle. That is a mathematical fact, as the possible number of ways to order a pack of cards is 8x10^67. For reference, there are about 2.4x10^67 atoms in the Milky Way Galaxy. Therefore, its statistically impossible this deck was a unique shuffle before or after he began moving cards.
@chloegrimace1291
@chloegrimace1291 5 ай бұрын
^^ Exactly. He's doing exactly what he appears to be doing. He arranged the deck beforehand and shuffled it with precision. But because of the shuffling technique, he can guarantee where each card falls. All skill, and still looks impressive!

It is a farrow shuffle and that's it though... i mean, it is just showing off a skill that is more common than you'd think. Ever heard of a perfect hand in bridge, where every player gets all cards of one symbol? Happens more often than you'd think because the farrow is used as regular shuffling by more people than you realize.

@@amrit351 That’s not true, but even if it was, how would that make it any less impressive? Reversed or “versed”, it would still be showing him changing the words bit by bit with each shuffle. Maybe if it went from “unshuffled” to completely scrambled you’d have a point, but the “unshuffled” split but was still legible, then split more but still spelt “unshuffled”, then scrambled but still together. No matter how you look at it, this would be impossible for any random person to be able to do without tons of practice.

It looks like its a property of how the word on the side tells you where to split the deck to start the next shuffle. If you keep splitting it between the "lines" of text it will eventually end up properly shuffled because if any are out of order you would still see that on the side.

The shuffling is still skilled and all that but I was thinking how do you plan and draw that and watched over and just wanted to know. It’s such an amazing trick. Thanks for the comment and I don't mind. The decks are legit us playing card company cards. I do have them printed with my logo on the backs but that's for style only. I did hand write the marks on the cards by hand. It takes forever and that's why it's not in the video. I wanted to make it short and to the point. I only used the sharpie in the video as a prop, to show that's how I made the marks. Which is true. The small dot you see was a mistake. I got too close while filming. Lol
