Consider a donation to the trails- bit.ly/HawesTrails
Boulderdash officially opens today, March 10th, 2023. Huge thanks to the Hawes Trail Alliance and all of the volunteers for putting in the back-breaking work to bring this instant classic to life. It seems like every time I visit Hawes, there is something new to ride, and the effort does not go unnoticed. We are very fortunate to have progressive trails of this caliber built for the public to enjoy. I will urge everyone to consider a donation to the trails. If you don't have the funds, no worries, donate some time. Dig days happen constantly and this momentum directly translates to more trails and more fun for everyone.
Some stats to offer some perspective into what this sort of effort entails.
Boulderdash took roughly 1,800 man hours to build. 54 dig days, over the course of 14 months. Countless hours of thought, planning, flagging the corridor and working with land managers to bring this new beast to life. All to create approximately 1 mile of tech trail from scratch. The result is one of the most engaging, feature filled sections of trail anywhere. Kudos to Jason and Doug for making it happen.
Alex and I filmed this about 10 days ago as a trail preview for the official opening day to increase awareness and hopefully get some funds raised that will go directly into more trails for everyone to enjoy. All of the proceeds generated by the ad revenue from this video will be donated to the trails.
