I noticed it smoothed the idle on my 1995 f250 with 351w (smoothed as in a bottle of water vibrates less on the dashboard after adding a full bottle of lucas), and oil consumption has slowed to the point that I'm barely down a quart between oil changes (every 4-5k miles). One thing i have noticed is that starting can be more difficult, but then again the days it was struggling were days that it was 15° farenheit or colder so I'm not gonna blame the lucas for a 240k mile engine struggling with temps that sometimes dip a good ways below zero.

I used this product twice on both oil changes (6000 miles) on my 1992 Chevy 1500. I noticed a BIG difference. More horsepower and higher PSI.

One thing i experienced with Lucas products is, you have to give it time, run the car for a while before see the different, " in General, time will fix things " !!

Let me give a couple pieces of advice. First never put the oil stabilizer first, put your regular oil in first. Second don’t put it in a cold engine because the oil pickup can not pick the stabilizer up and your bearings will be dry when you start your engine. I did both things and it cost me $3000 dollars for a low mileage Volvo engine to be installed. The mechanic at the Import car shop said Lucas Oil Stabilizer is a good product it just needs to be put in in the proper sequence. Also the best way is to add it at a oil change and mix the stabilizer with your engine oil in a large container and mix it throughly before putting it in your engine.

lucas products are excellent even if you dont have noises etc it protetcts motor just add when doing oil change and also use fuel system cleaner from lucas bothe are excellent i run the oil treatment in my cars my harley and my lawn mower it is thick but when it mixes with oil it thins out and keeps viscosity from breaking down etc its excellent for protesting internal engine components

This stuff works fantastic. I've used all 3 stabilizers, the regular stuff, the high mileage stuff, and now the full synthetic stuff. One bottle per oil change has completely stopped my cold start VVTI camshaft timing gear rattle on my 3.5 Toyota engine. In general, the car seems much happier ever since I started using this stuff a couple years back. I now use it on my other Toyota with the 3.3, much quieter as well. Sorta surprising cause that motor has always been quiet as it is.

i dont know if it helped with the valve tick itself but everything else that had smaller tolerances or gaps sounds much quieter. i put it in a 05 ford escape with 250k miles and it sounded loads better but still had the tick like this. good vid keep them up.

I hear no change in knock. The change to a lower pitch is from the engine idling at a lower rev.

Did it ever quiet down at all?? That was not enough time for it to even circulate and mix with the oil. For anybody watching this video. RESULTS WILL NOT HAPPEN THAT QUICK> Drive it about 20-30 miles and then listen.

I’ve been using 60% in my F-250 that has 335k original motor. Been doing it for 5 years about and no problem. Low pressure prompted me to use it at 60%. That pressure needle stands erect now

I got a V6 Nissan Altima, my Mechanic replaced the camshaft positioning sensors and the engine light kept coming back. And the codes were for the camshaft positioning sensor failure. He told me to put half of this in my car and it might fix it, otherwise I would have to get the timing belt replaced.

So do you replace 1 qt at oil change? Say my car uses 4.2, would I use 3qts of oil, and 1 qt of oil ? Or do you add 1 qt to your regular oil change?

one thing also with oil pressure if it drops after say the engine is warm then it usually means that the bearings are going ( pushrod main ) I had an old truck that fire it up pressure was around 100 after it warmed up it would drop down to 25-30 was the main bearings but I just drove it and bought another engine

A valve adjustment would’ve fixed that. Been a Nissan tech for years and those engines needed valve adjustments at least every 60K miles.

Once you allow it to run through the system, you will hear a difference

i use the stp high mileage oil additive... it seems to do well and the bottles alot smaller so i dont have to replace an entire quart of oil with it

Would this work for a 2.4 liter Hyundai sonata gls gdi engine . It's a direct injection so I don't wanna put Lucas to quiet down the piston slap

Marvel Mistry oil is the best all the old timers swear by it and it's been around way longer than Lucas for a reason and u can add it to your oil and gas and everything above and beyond

the lifters are starving for oil...adding an oil thickening aditive wasnt the right desicion...u needed a friction reducer additive wich are way more light viscocity and fill more easyli into the small lifters orifice

Does that engine even use lifters? If that old Nissan is anything like older Toyota's they do not use lifters and the valve lash is supposed to be adjusted by hand every 20K miles. It does not sound like lifter tick it sounds like a cam follower is smacking into the came shaft because the clearance needs to be adjusted. You can not fix lifter tick in an engine that does not have lifters! If that oil pressure gauge is right you do not have any rod knock or main knock not with oil pressure like that. It should not be that hi at idle. I would imagine it should be 25-35 psi maybe as high as 45 psi at idle cold then 10psi for every 1000 rpms but I am just guessing on that. So I suspect that gauge might not be reading right. That does not sound like lifter tick at all I doubt that engine has hydralic lifters at all!

Depending on what's causing the knock...I think I have a worn bearing on my Jeeps crankshaft and if that's your issue then replace the bearings! There's no oil in the world that's going to fix worn bearings or even valve stems for that matter

I think you were about 500000 miles too late!!! Lol if you had used it when the engine first started rattling it would have yielded better results. I just put it in an '04 dodge caravan and it made a big difference. The motor had just started a little chatter and it stopped right away.
