I agree but I can't imagine how long it must take to produce, roll out in production, to the public, a meager 50+ min doc-u, of this quality? Realistic, so close to perfect, w/ so many different ppl/things involved? No wonder NG doesn't provide us w/more like these. And once you are known for generating such material who would in their right mind digress to anything less than perfection? I absolutely would NOT
@Kate-is5mz
@Kate-is5mz Жыл бұрын
@@ChristieBWahl I believe footage for long-form documentaries of animals like these is taken over the course of years and years, sometimes even decades. They really must live in the lives of these animals and know them for so long, even generationally long, in order to capture all of this and tell their magnificent private stories. Let alone the production afterwards, how they compile the footage, the music, and the narration? You are indeed correct, this is *perfection* and I am but a mere spec of dust, forever humble to the massive dunes that are the people involved in these projects. Just a bunch of legends creating excellence and perfection, thank God they're out there.

Ty for the post! AWESOME job by everyone involved. Wish there was a way to show Angela - Narrator what an impact she has had w/her voice. She is truly a talented lady. I don't have a clue what age group if she's older than me or younger. I'm 51, to call her a talented young lady or woman? Almost every post has had something about how awesome she is, & the rest of the crew taking pics, or at the end... Putting it all together. Not having just a 🖼️ of an animal, music in back ground, can't hear narrator, & my favorite - some kinda critter chirping, croaking, etc. thru entire doc-u & wrong kinda critter to start w/like a 🐸 when it's supposed to be a🦉 & that was 20 mins ago but it's still croaking. Anyway, natGeo & Attenborough are about the last few standing. There are still a few more. If there's a way for us to connect with Angela that would be awesome!

DON'T EVER QUIT. When things go wrong , as they sometimes will. When the road you're struggling on seems all up hill, and when the funds are low and the debts are high. And when you want to smile but you have to sigh. Rest if you must but do not QUIT. Success is failure turned inside out. The silver tint of clouds of doubt. Excellent cinematography and music. Cant imagine how long it took to get some of these shots. You also know its a quality documentary when its not just a bunch of shots of different animals at different times and places pasted together to pretend that there is some sort of story going on.

Exactly! Or the same 'ole 🐦, 🦗,🦉,🦅,🐸🦆🦤🐿️🦜🐒 "singing" in the background (but it's the wrong kind) ALL the way thru basically the entire doc-u. 👉Of course your hubby has to keep pointing it out!👈 I didn't find this @ ALL in this doc-u. They really spent a lot of time on editing & before when they put it together, they took the time like you were saying careful to pick the music out, so it went exactly w/the film. Her voice then matched up to the video & music just perfect!!! I agree 💯%, ABSOLUTELY👍🏻😎 AWESOME job!! Waiting for more to come, & watching this one over & over until then.! Prayers for y'all and NG!

Documentaries are my fav thing to watch since childhood. One of the most fascinating ones right here, and the narrator is as much as magical as the nature itself, women voice makes the difference.

👍🏿👏🏿 Much appreciative I can still remember to get a hold of National Geographic magazines & save then for the beautiful pictures, when I was a kid, it was a real privilege, way back in the day of of encyclopedias 😅. And Angela Bassett, my stars, just added beautifully narration to an otherwise beautiful special.
