@@jijithkr682 That’s a great point!!! In most cases, hummingbirds rest at night, so I think nighttime is an exception regarding the rule of “eating every 2 hours,” which is good for them…🤗

@@AniFam I think you are right, commonly at/over night they will enter "torpor" a state of physical or mental inactivity. Such cool little creations!

I have watched & listened to them battle 2 ft from my widow over feeders. They are fierce fighters with their long beaks (like little swords) stabbing each other. Plus they will do body slams that we can hear them when they hit.
