Every time I see this it makes me cry! The best vocalist of time era! He interprets a song like no other. He is only 24 years old and sings like he has been doing this for 30 years. The emotion he shows is well beyond his years and personal experience. He is always pitch perfect. He also is a featured vocalist with the Trans Siberian Orchestra (West), which is an arena touring group. Mr James is exquisite!!!!!

I'm so busy watching him act and listening to him showing off his voice (which is incredible) that I'm not listening to the words of the song or hearing genuine emotion. Presumably that's why he never got the part in Superstar.

There hasn't been a singer of Nathan's caliber for sometime. I am completely and utterly in awe of every note he sings. He puts every ounce of himself into every performance, sometimes in spite of the lack of support he may have faced. I hope that i can see him in person before I leave this world.

I was at this concert and when Nathan James stepped out I died, he was my favourite on the show and this is absolutely incredible.

I saw ben play tonight in Melbourne.. I was.. unwhelemed. But he wasnt terrible.. Mel C on the other hand.. Anyway I know if it was Nathan instead I would have done allot more emotional crying XD

love that he used the Drew Sarich interpretation of this song, his Falsetto isnt as powerfull as his mixed voice but still crazy good \m/ so far this is my #2 out of all the other performers of this song, Drew is numero uno.

ben forster's rendition was on TV today and it was a virtuoso performance, and especially the last section which vocally was moving and accomplished and easily transcended this version here by Nathan James, which whilst energetic really doesn't capture the fragility of the JC character - and his last note is actually flat! he's a good rock singer though, but sorry couldn't act the role and ALW was quite right in his final decision.

Wow. Nathan's great, but I have to say that Ben is a far better. I watched Ben's Superstar the whole way through at least twelve and it moved me so much I was in tears at the end every time. Everything else since then seems quite tame. Watch Ben's and see what you think.

My theory on why Nathan didn't win was he was to good and would have over shadowed the vocal ability of the "well established stars" already chosen to donut. I love Tim minchin but he doesn't hold a candle to Nathan. I didn't go cause he didn't win. I sold my ticket as I bought one before the end of the show had chosen a Jesus

He built up to the G5 but was unable to deliver it with the power you would expect after so much build up. It was anticlimactic.

No doubt he is a great vocalist, but the melody of this song as written needs very little changing up. I would have preferred that he stayed closer to the melody with a little improvisation.

He is still quite cocky here. He didn't win JCS because you know his body, JCS team would need some times for him to be fit and lose some weight. Rory didn't win because he was short. Ben was in the middle of all and he got the theatre education basic. Vocally Nathan was the best, though. But not with Jesus role, I think he will be good playing Judas.

honestly my friend is like look at yhis band i really like them it is called" inglorious"ok i listen its musically ok but the singer has a great bruce Dickenson like voice, then i watch another and a third and im like this guy is way too concerned with his hair,and as i writei can hear the huge lack of passion for this song that ted brings to it,and i cant help that.. anyway he is all over the place form this to bon jovie to a choir boy song now im supposed to buy hes a heavy metal rocker .i dont,its a shame but i see through and he is not genuine.. he wants to be big sure, but he has nothing to say..imo..

Nathan James was far too stagey. Ben Forster was far more believable in the part. He got a standing ovation at the 02 when I saw him, and well deserved it!

God, you must be easily impressed. It's hard to decide whether he's a worse singer or a worse actor, but I can easily say, he's bad.
