I got my first car this January, and after we bought it, I drove it home and parked in the driveway. Two days later, there was a rainstorm overnight, followed by snow and freezing temperatures. The next morning, the car was coated in ice just like this one. Instead of doing what this guy did, I punched the fender and door, causing the ice to crack and fall off in massive chunks. There were also icicles hanging off the mirrors, door handles, door trim, and wheel wells, and I ran my hand along them, knocking them all off. I then took a picture of it from a short distance, and with the ice gone from the top of the fender and door, it looked like the clear coat had corroded off after having sat for ten years. It was a fun experience with my new-old SUV I had just got three days prior.
