Als overtuigd pacifist had ik niet kunnen denken dat het Nationaal Militair Museum een fascinerend geheel is. Het gebouw is imposant, niet alleen door de grootte ervan, maar ook door de open architectuur waardoor er een mooi gezicht op de omgeving is vanuit de meeste plekken in het gebouw. Daarnaast is de collectie, de manier waarop het is weergegeven ook heel mooi. De geschiedenis van de krijgsmacht en de noodzaak ervan worden goed in beeld gebracht. Daarnaast is er niet alleen ruimte voor de heldhaftigheid, maar ook voor de meer zwarte bladzijden En het ligt in een geweldig mooie omgeving en zijn er voor kinderen diverse speelgelegenheden.
