Thank you Miriam. I looked after my mother for many years on and off as i was living away. I was privileged to spent most of her last three years of life with her and i miss her more as each day passes. I was so grateful for that time.

I cared for my mother as she went downhill over 3 years. Then my father came to live with us as he wasn't coping. It was all a pleasure & a privilege to return the compliment to them - albeit difficult at times. Thank you Miriam for all that you do.

People don’t know what a true Hero is. A true Hero sticks to the person who needs support (family member or not) and does it because they care. I’ve met many family carers in my life- exhausted, grieving, sleep deprived, imperfect, at the end of their tether, worried sick, but not giving up. The mundane sublime. Family carers need more support.

I have been a carer for over 30 years to my son after his brain injury from a car accident. I would love to meet Miriam too.
