I see where they’re coming from but i think Perry excels as Murphy & couldn’t imagine anyone else playing that role.

I get the impression that the production team over at that TV show really didn't overthink this they just picked the best actor and I love her I started watching this show after this protest thanks for making me aware

The show is really good bt it would be really hard to find a blind actor to preform the role. They shouldnt do this. But i understand where they are coming from.

Omg, there are no blind actresses. She does a very good job, people need to chill, this is not the 1st time a non blind actor, has played a blind person, noone bitched about AL Pacino playing a blind man in sent of a women, ect ect, the world has changed so drastically! People get offended over everything now!

I have MS. I don't go protesting production companies to hire actors with MS to play a character with MS. CHRIST... IT'S ACTING!!!

My opinion only. Why in the hell would someone want to act a roll in an awesome series such as this one and then not even watch it. Am I not seeing something here?

Is clearly problematic that they didn't do a better job trying to get a blind actor for the role, specially when it did not require any special ability. Is not respectful to a whole community that is pefectly able to act and take part in projects like this one. In addition, you can easily give in to temptation of portraying what the director and the actor think means to be blind. In doing so, you end up with false characterisations like blind people are rude or messy (not the first time we see this on TV or movies). Finally, if you happen to know a blind person, in this case you can tell she is not blind as she can't help but use her eyes. Therefore, for us sighted people that are close to blind people, looks really fake. In the end, the great potential of having an actual blind person leading is missed and the production ends up offending people with disabilities.

We should have seen this or heard this coming!

What they're protesting is a valid but in this case they didn't do anything wrong, In general more disabled actors should be cast to play roles of characters with their disability but they were reasonable and respectful. Also they hired a blind writer as well as having a few other people who were blind work on the movie

Yes let us watch this disaster. Its like complaining about wanting to drive blind. When it comes down to it all your gonna do is wreck. Nobody wants to see that lets be real. This show wouldn't be successful if so. What if the movie was about a cancer patient should we get an actual person whos dying from it to play the role? What about sully. Denzel Washington is not a real pilot. 😂 this is silly im not hating on blind people but we just make protests out of anything these days. I can't see how the blind community feels disrespected by this. Its a good show. Leave it alone.

I hope Producers look into hiring this group of ppl.
