A classic & memorable movie. Although he had a short role in this movie I met and talked with John Candy while I was in Florida (spring break) visiting friends in April 1985. He was with Paramount filming the movie Summer Rental. The meeting occurred in St Pete Beach.

I've stayed at Riverbind Resort many time. We were actually watching the movie on a ski trip and were AT Riverbind when we were like "wait a second!?!?! That's here!

Such a shame Adam doesn't do so many filming locations like this anymore because this is the best filming location I've ever seen it's fantastic 🤠

The whole family jumped out of our seats when the notification popped up! Breakfast bacon stopped frying, the bread in the toaster sat cold, and everyone rushed the TV. Excellent video. I can only imagine the amount of research, prep time, travel time and editing that went into this. FIRST OF ALL I can't believe the negative thumbs down- I think that the amount of work put into this was EVEN more than location scouting of the original. I remember when this movie came out, 1 year to wait for VHS and you could actually afford to go the movies, what a summer, Jedi, Flashdance and I believe Mr Mom. This movie was of my favorites and you aren't american if you haven't seen VACATION. I found your channel recently when I saw your MCO-LAX EMPTY plane ride- what a great experience, thanks for sharing it with us. I know EVERYbody does theme parks at the park- but I think that this was a GREAT compilation and effort and was better than a documentary than would be found on a DVD- thanks for your story.
