I wrote Till The Storm Passes By on the night of St Patrick's Day in 1995. The song was written in French. My husband Shawn Obrien and I had been married ten years. Shawn was too deep into heroine addiction to want to do anything for our 10th anniversary. I prayed and cried out to God. Four days later Shawn decided he needed to check into drug treatment. I just needed to hold on to faith for those four day. Then God answered.

The second verse of Till the Storm Passes By was written by Ivan Castanza the next day to encourage me after the violence of the previous night. That verse was written in Italian and also translated by my mother.

I had a lovely young friend who joined Marines,who was stationed there once and loved it so much, she stayed and I never saw her again after that # now I doubt I'll ever get to make any more out of US trips...

Forgot to say, when I was a child, my parents took me to so many Blackwood Brothers concerts I knew every song. JD Sumner played with them. The Oakridge Boys were Christian group in the beginning of their career. They opened for the Blackwoods! I have all of these autographs!!! Then when the Gaithers began concerts...my parents continued to go, as I lived elsewhere. Needless to say I always listened!! Thank you to my parents who raised me in church and played Christian music!!

Loving the new lineup. I try not to compare, but my favorite is the original lineup too. David Phelps is the best tenor who ever lived in my humble opinion. Mark and Guy are awesome too.

For me, this is the best group overall that Gaither has ever had. They can sing beautifully, work as a team instead trying to outdo each other, there doesn't seem to be any arrogance, and they carry the spirit with them. Absolutely one of the best Southern Groups ever!

I agree! They work as a team. The last group sang with very big personalities (which isn't necessarily bad). I looked forward to hearing one or more people in the group instead of the group. Now i hear d group.. its refreshingly different!

I think this is the best group that Bill has put together. No one out sings another. While I love Guy's voice, and David's voice, they could be overwhelming on some songs. This quartet compliments each other so well. They can each reach the top of their range. I love them. And Wes is so charming. You can see the light and love of Jesus in all of them. Til the Storm Passes By is one we used to sing in our church. Not like this, but I wish!

Bring raw fresh garlic and raw mushrooms into your diet. Buy some on the vine tomatoes,cut them up,get a razor blade and cut the garlic as thin as you can,lay them on the tomatoes,put your fav dressing and eat them raw. The first time I heard "Til the Storm Passes By was watching this video. Now it is one of my favorite hymns. I've been playing it on my piano and singing it a lot lately. It seems appropriate for this pandemic we are experiencing. It helps me through the thunder storms we have here in Florida. The Lord is my shelter at all times. I've liked many of the Gaither Band, but think this is one of the best.

You make so happy when see clouds all from 1972 now. My way blind in 2019 and a tractor-trailer oven back AUGUST 27 1986. Danny music as was from a Pentecostal in Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. My parents wrote He Touched Me on their honeymoon in Puerto Rico in 1960. The song was written in French and translated by my mother. My father composed the tune.
