This performance is part of the College's World Arts Festival, taped March 8, 2012 at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center on the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College, and is a production of MCTV, Montgomery College Television.

The man who inspired Charles Littleleaf to take up the Native American Flute and Charles Littleleaf inspired me to take up making and playing the Native American Flute... As a disabled Marine Corps veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom with PTSD, I found the flute to be one of the very few things to help me relax and to find peace...

Nizhoni Carlos Nakai.. This Man is my Mentor Since Day One I've Seen him in Lukachukai School,,Arizona.., I blew in one of his Flutes and thought of buying one and that's all it took..thanks for that Mr. Nakai :)

Carlos Nakai inspired my soul. I purchased a flute from him at Crazy Horse, S.D. I always remember that moment when ever I play any of my Native American flutes.

it appears and sounds like Mr Nakai's mic is patched into a digital effects signal processor of some sort, giving the echo/verb effect. Anyone know what type it is? Perhaps an Alesis nanoverb, or a nanoverb 2?

Playback007able the mic is running through an auxiliary send that has both a long reverb and also a slight delay on it. Any modern effects processor can accomplish this. Just choose a large hall for the reverb and a medium delay of around 300 milliseconds
