I have been to HI many times and have friends there. You don't seem to know much about the islands. Most of the locals born and raised in HI are NOT native Hawaiians. There are very few native Hawaiians left. Most of the people that have negative attitudes to tourists and mainlanders moving there are in fact descendants of immigrants and colonizers. They are not from the islands as well.

Stop assuming shit. Were you there? Besides many hawaiians are prejudice against tourists. There is a lot of racism there in general. Many white kids in hawaiian schools that live in hawaii get called haoles (a slur term that is used to describe a nonnative especially white people). They will often be physically abused just because of the prejudice they have against white people, when the innocent kid did nothing wrong. Anyone who is ok with stuff like this happening is evil.

Do you REALLY think, in 2023, we’re sitting around wearing grass skirts?!?! Really?! Also, the reason you know this guy is lying, is men don’t wear grass skirts, they wear a malo. Our people wore cloth and our women used Ti leaf skirts (not “grass”) only to perform. Honestly it’s not enough to be born and raised in Hawai’i. Even having Hawaiian blood isn’t enough. That just makes someone Kanaka Maoli. But being kind, respectful, and having Aloha is what makes Hawaiians Hawaiians. Because that’s what Hawaiians are supposed to be all about. Most people think all Hawai’i is about is its beautiful beaches, its laid-back lifestyle, and its delicious food, but there’s more to it. Hawai’i is about respect and Aloha. You earn that respect you are treated like family, and it’s honestly a really great experience. I’m sorry this is how you and your family’s first experience to Hawai’i was. The two people mentioned in the video shouldn’t have acted like that. It was completely disrespectful and not *pono* (right/okay) at all. I can understand where the guy was coming from because in his eyes he thought you were gonna lay hands on the woman, but he shouldn’t have acted like he wanted to pick a fight. Instead he should’ve excesses the situation and figure out what was happening, if he thought you were trying to pick a fight then he should’ve stood between you and the woman not try and fight with you. The woman is in the wrong too. Seriously walking up to some and being like “I heard what you said.” What was that about? Even after you apologized she still had a problem for some reason. However, what I can suggest next time is to check with a local near by instead of going off with what the other bloggers may say.

This man who shot the video, and continues to exploit the native people of Hawaii is the one in the wrong. It is exhausting to watch the fragile White person clutch their pearls and cry their tears of fragility AFTER they cause harm. I want to see what actually occurred because what I have learned from the history of the indigenous people of the world is that the white man brings destruction and division, and quickly conquers and steals. There is no backing down when you are threatened and I don’t believe for a second this video is an accurate portrayal.

@@Zach-sg5uu No, the Hawaiian Kingdom is not an never has been part of the US. You can’t illegally invade a sovereign country and annex it without a treaty, that’s a violation of international law, and customary international law. I have links to highly reputable and credible international law organizations and a UN Independent expert & advisor on my channels about section, all of whom are calling the US out for still OCCUPYING the Hawaiian Kingdom since 1893. If you intend to debate me on this, you better be prepared to prove you have equal or greater credentials than them. PS: the people on the links are either working with or part of our legal team to get the US out and pay the reparations fines for 130 years of illegally occupying us… estimated to be around $12 trillion and rising millions each additional day we continue to be occupied.
