Melodic sounds amazing but I don’t know why that would make you want to buy so much, that’s those kinda of basic chops it’s like sampling a stretch of vocal, the creativity to use again and again isn’t there for that. You can’t make an album using the same vocal again and again that anyone else can exactly copy as well. The other ones that are more synth style offer the creativity to make them your own.

@@cryptocaesar8972 You can make them your own. 😎 Am I going to use them in the same default key as everyone else? No. Am I going to use them in a different genre? Yes. Am I going to use verbatim the whole run? No. Am I going to modulate and transpose them and double them harmonically? Yes probably. I know what you mean with playing chords with these sounds though. The thing is we all approach music differently and for me I will not be using Glaze for RnB so these runs will sound fresh in Afro funk or Jazz for example. ✌️ 👍🏿🎹🎶🎸

I hear voice of people I know lol. I endorse NI, so thanks for letting me know about this. I'ma hit them up and get it in my account now. I personally don't immediately see any practical use for long and fast vocal runs in a plugin. But those pads! I'ma need those. And maybe when I get it under my fingers, I'll find a use for a run or two as well.

Komplete 14 is coming soon???!!! I like this one. Might be the best so far. Voices are always useful. I also liked the melodic sounds best. This one makes me want to write some gospel music (especially as Imy voice is the opposite of Sam Cooke's) The Play series is quite good.

Can someone explain to me what Komplete is? Like do i need to buy the program and then buy different Komplete-vst to put them in the program ? How does it work is what i wanna know...

Hey! So Komplete is a collection of native instruments VSTs and plugin effects. Komplete Kontrol is a plugin that lets you access of of the instruments in one place. Though you don't need to use it. The benefit of Komplete Kontrol however is that it provides a filtering system to search for sounds across all of your instruments and provides audio preview for them to allow for quick browsing. Komplete Kontrol also works in tandem with the Komplete Kontrol keyboards, like the one I'm using in this video. Hope that helps.

Hey Rey, be sure to download the free kontakt player too. You’ll find Glaze inside kontakt. If you have komplete kontrol installed, you’ll find it there also

Hi, Great...i missed in the list of your gear the sound effect plugins you are using for this demo. f.e. stereo enhancement etc...The 'native' plugin Glaze standalone hasn't by far not this nice sound you produced. What are you using in the sound chain? Its not a question which vendor, its a question which type of effects.

Hey L W - There’s nothing extra on these sounds at all. I’m literally playing the sounds from Glaze and that’s it. All of the effects are the ones built into the presets.

Nice eyes Lou.... Didn’t catch those cans. I’ve been drooling over everything Neumann ; the 80’s for my desk, the 402 pre in my rack ect...... Had to compromise when this studio was built during Covid. Obviously Glaze would kill with this gear. So, Stephan,; nice coverage. You have mad keyboard chops as well. Love your chord choices. I’ll order thru your link brother. Can’t wait to see how to apply these sounds to jazz and country.... should be quite interesting......

Flat as a pancake mate. No exaggeration on the bass at all! Very comfortable, I haven't done any tracking with them (well other than me talking in videos like this, into a dynamic mic) but they're well sealed so even next to a condenser I think you'll have next to no spill. But yeah I trust these Neumann's. Lord knows I can't trust my monitors in this untreated room!

I haven't used arcade yet but this is not just vocal chops. The vocalist used in Glaze recorded every note on the keyboard separately to achieve amazing sounding vocal pads which we can play. Arcade is limited in this way so I think they vastly differ. The melodic section is where they are similar but even still Glaze has way more flexibility from what I've seen from hooked.

I was kinda disappointed with Melted Vibes presets, I understand most have a lot of wow & flutter but these ones look alot more promising out of the box.

Literally have a discussion about this on another comment. I haven’t used Arcade but I understand that Hooked has vocal chops. I think where this differs is in its inclusion of pitched samples across the keyboard in the form on pads, leads etc. To my understanding, hooked just plays vocal chops? Or am I wrong? Can you play monophonic and polyphonic sounds as you would play a normal keyboard?

@@stefanguy Yes and no… in Arcade you can layer the chops paid but that’s it

Also…this is one off payment. Arcade is subscription (but it gets other sounds). Also, Arcade has frequent updates. Having said that, I’m not a fan of subscriptions. Lol. I’m on the Arcade trial and using as much as I can until it runs out. “Glaze” is definitely a must have for me!

I haven’t used Arcade you know. Isn’t arcade a subscription with loads of different samples? Not just vocals? And does Arcade have monophonic and polyphonic instruments we can play? i.e notes stretched across the keyboard we can play like a keyboard. Or do all the notes just trigger sample chops?

@@stefanguy arcade is also only for vocal samples. However only some expansions allow polyphonic playback others are basically one shots looping.

Yeah it did remind me of arcade but which instrument though. I mean hooked is similar only in vocals chops and reverb..I think the similarity is how much reverb is on the instrument.

Is arcade an instrument though? Can you play samples that are mapped and pitched correctly across the keyboard? The vocal licks in this play series is only one of the features

@@stefanguy Yes you can. Arcade is loop based and instrument based. Give it a try, its cheap.

NATIVE INSTRUMENTS is THE WORST VST COMPANY ON THE PLANET. Stay away from NI. Expect: NO SUPPORT, TONS OF BUGS, ANCIENT TECHNOLOGY, FULL IGNORANCE
