Tbf, for instance the Incan Empire (which was pretty much involved in wars and conflicts throughout its history) was really colorful, vibrant and had garments, almost all the city buildings and other cultural elements filled with vibrant tones. The same goes for many African tribes involved in wars: much of their cultural backgrounds are mainly around colorful environments. War happens amidst these beautiful scenarios in their histories. I don't see the problem in Natlan being the nation of war and being vibrant

I can give you what i believe might be a reason for some people to believe it was gonna be just a land of volcanic ash and rivers of lava: those images that theorize the entirety of teyvat, they all depict natlan in a dark red as a sort of burned wasteland

Because most of the Genshin community is weird. They create various crazy and sick theories, ideas and more in their heads, and then they cry because their expectations and what they believed in through their own thoughts are driving them crazy and they start to get outraged because the creators did not do what was in their heads. 😂

It's genshin signature. They already said this so many times in development video documenter. They always prioritize to use bright hue and saturation combination color for the environment so player can having chill time in the game. Despite the bright environment, they can pulled off dark and sad story tho.

@@Kumire_921 yes i also think snezhnaya will be dark, but i believe they will still use mostly bright color combination for most area environment. Take an example on dragonspine. It is looks dark but mostly they still use bright color combination in the environment like with the crystall ice. i said total environment for most parts of the area, though dark color combination majority still used in certain area but not totally all around the area.

Exactly! It's always a metaphorical approach! Freedom, contracts, eternity, wisdom, justice and now war. I think people always think of these concepts superficially and don't get the idea of what devs trying to explain to us. I'm glad to see that some people get this;))

Because sometimes wars happen not just in larger scale. Sometimes you can wage war within yourself as well, like depression, suicidal thoughts, or even having your values and beliefs being questioned. Sometimes your worst enemy can be yourself. Going back to the larger scale, you can also ask of where can a war be justified? Is it any way for war to truly end? How can compromise be achieved when there are many men in the same armor think that they are right? Will eliminating a threat will truly end the conflict or it will rise another one (power vacuum)? So many questions that beg answer and proper examination. Truly I'm looking forward at Hoyo's take of it because it may or may not resonate to the irl events and conflicts. Seriously some players of Genshin aren't invested on the storyline and its themes at all. All they know is how to get ahead into Spiral Abyss and acting like overgrown toddlers who lash out when their expectations aren't met by Hoyo.

there are six biomes in natlan dw, it's pretty diverse. we, being the mounts makes it easier to traverse the biomes, less taxing than the desert sumeru

Natlan is inspired by pre Colombian America (so as cold as Alaska,Canada,The Andes mountains in south America the Amazon and Caribbean plus west Africa with influences of Spanish music) it’s bound to be one of the most diverse regions in the game as of late. Or for a more short version it’s seems to be inspired by Latin America, which can be seen by the presence of the Pre-Columbian civilizations of Latin America, as well as African and Hispanic cultures if we are lucky also it will have some Native American/inuet culture influence (pre Colombian USA and Canada)

@@maevocado1246 Oh definitely. I'd imagine they'd add mounts there too or another means of transportation such as the railway, horses, or sled dogs, ect. Depends a lot what they'll do next year. Of course Natlan won't be a slouch either. I'm extremely excited for Natlan and Snezhnaya, and not just cause pyro archon and Tsarista my most anticipated of the archons. I've been to Latin America it's gorgeous.

@@lslawashere that was my first impression as well ! the dominant deep green teal palette would definitely suit mondstadt, but in chenyu makes so much sense as well since they're sitting right next to fontaine, monsdstadt and sumeru, so it mixes all their terrain colors (green, blue-purplish, light teal). Great contrast to Liyue's yellow grass, plus they're not really the followers of Rex Lapis, so it's like an adjecent sub-nation like watatsumi or the desert, which is reflected design wise. Like, Fontaine definitely surprised me in a lot of a areas and finally seeing it was super exciting, but we still had a decent amount of crumbs before 4.0, where here…I guess just having THIS much Natlan feels unreal to me.

We have not seen a single NATLAN npc outside of Natlan at all... that's not a good thing... with the information we have this did not meet any sort of expectations so far... even with Fontaine we met people long before going there. Theres no reason why we havent for Natlan..

The reason I did expect it was because it was inspired by South America and Africa and that was something we've known for a long time. It'll also have a desert and a lava field for sure, but most of the world's rainforests are on those 2 continents after all.

i think there will be an area of Natlan region that will be heavily volcanic and have no almost color like the badlands or the nether in Minecraft but much darker

There are 6 tribes in natlan and the saurians are the first ones to be shown

The first saurian looks Geo themed with crystals(crystallize). Second is aquatic and swims through both water and lava and also flies on steam vents(Vaporize). Third shown is a bit more dubious but looks like it travels by shooting out burning seeds and slinging towards them(Burning/Burgeon).

If this is the case, it would be cool if Travelers kit was based solely on reactions. Man I’m so excited to use traveler with pyro colors

Then theres the flying bird/wyvern thing at the end which im guessing is our flying mount so theres only two saurians we haven't seen but know exists

The rocky areas underneath the grassy areas could be where the crystallize tribe lives, the grassy areas on top of the rocky area could be where the burning tribe lives, the high up area at the end could be where the swirl tribe lives, the water area could be where the vape tribe lives (and the lava area could maybe be in a cave system underneath), there could be a melt tribe far up north close to snezhneya where the melt tribe lives and finally maybe in a desert area in the south near sumeru there could be an area where the overload tribe lives.

1st info was the hot springs in Inazuma being based on ones in Natlan. 0th info was that the bulk of the Knights of Favonius are off on a military campaign where they ran into The Captain, who's presumably in Natlan - making it likely that Varka and the other unreleased captains are out there fighting something
