This is TOI. Sensationalist. Will do anything for a headline, however idiotic. Firstly, Iraq is not an ally of the US. Secondly, these strikes are happening in accordance with the Kurdish government of this autonomous region. Capital: Erbil. The government wants these terrorists hiding out in their territory to leave or get eliminated. They endanger and disrupt the lives of the local Kurdish population. The government of the Kurdish Autonomous Region has a good relationship with the Turkish Government.

Forces - you should be able to distinguish between them and a joint NATO operation - are a p p r o v e d by both the KRG in Erbil - Kurdistan Regional Government for you, and the Iraqi government. They want to clear the area of the PKK and its sister groups. They want these trouble makers out..... It's about security and joint infrastructure, energy, and water. TR, as a member of NATO, did not allow the US to use its airbase for strikes against Iraq in 2003.... Are you so daft to believe everything they feed you?

You think Kurds in TR are oppressed? I was surprised myself how many Kurdish fans Erdoğan has, he couldn't be president without the Kurdish vote. For the first time in their history they have great infrastructure and free health care like any other citizen. 25 years ago the SE of TR was a war zone. Now its is a popular tourist destination. Kurdish want to go about their lives, live peacefully. They suffered from these militants too.

There is a Autonomous Kurdish Region in North Iraq as a result of the Iraq war. government is in Erbil, the capital. These strikes by the Turkish forces against Kurdish militants/terrorists are coordinated with the Kurdish Government in Erbil. Now you're confused, aren't you? The are fighting these terrorists too. Kurds against Kurds, get it?
