Lithuania, a NATO member state, plans to raise taxes to fund defense initiatives. The proposed measures include increasing the corporate tax rate to 16% from 15% and raising excise taxes on alcohol, tobacco, and fuel. Additionally, there's a plan to raise the corporate tax rate for small-sized businesses by 1% to 6%. Recently, Germany has stationed several troops in Lithuania as part of a permanent deployment. Instead of burdening their citozens with higher taxes, their leaders should end all hostilities, visit moscow & restore freindly ties with Russia. Every leader should seriously think of protecting their citizens, unlike zelensky who did not negotiate peace way back in 2022 for US dollars.
