This is brilliant thanks for uploading! I often cross the ocean as flight crew, very informative to see how it works for our colleagues on the other end of the radio/cpdlc! I did want to see the controller push the selcal button tho 😆

Wonderful stuff! Of all kinds of flying, this type of flying is the most fascinating to me.

D Durgut I believe he was referring to lake fire about his grammar and silly comment. I have a dream to become a pilot, have since i was about 2. I'm 14 now, and couldn't wish to do anything else but fly. You and all other pilots are great inspirations, Thanks for all you do :)

Amazing Video and very informative,,it gave me more understanding of air traffic management,,,,though some information are little bit complicated but watching it again will help to understand it more.

15:52 you can see RJA263, Airbus A340-200 and AAL47, a Boeing 777-2 enroute to ORD(!)

Great video, thanks for uploading. BTW I thought 123.45 was not a 'official' frequency and was allocated to a military airfield somewhere in the uk??

Really cool to see this. I know very little about trans-oceanic intercontinental ATC especially so really awesome. I hope there are more vids like this on your channel or elsewhere.

As aviation buff, i allways wanted to know more about oceanic crossing. Thanks for uploading this vid. Do you know if "on the right track" (icao) is also available on youtube ?

Holy complicated !!! Doesn’t take much for things to go wrong.

This video is now finally closer to became outdated. In near future, the North Atlantic Track system will be retired. Shanwick and Gander already operate more with CPDLC and ADS-B system via satellite. And this pandemic has made also some effects. In april 2020, some days was without any NAT track available, only random routes.

Why is there a colored plastic tag or colored rubber band attached to the ear muff of the headset.

Is it mostly Canadian and UK/Irish citizens who make these tracks? Just curious. I figured maybe on my side of the Ocean (er, pond) that it may be Canada taking care of things for some reason. Looks fairly far North.

Gander makes the tracks for Eastbound traffic.

2 min or 3 min is required to submit a revised ETA? I think it is 3 min, but in the video it keeps saying 2 min. Somebody clarify pls.

It´s more than 3´. As FMS don´t show seconds, 3´means between 3´0´´and 3´59´, that is you failed. So you better revise your ETA when 2´shows up.
@aerodaan7 жыл бұрын
It is from 3 minutes or more, however with ADS-C the reporting over waypoints is done automatically via CPDLC and when overflying a waypoint, the time is automatically updated in the NATS system.
@aerodaan7 жыл бұрын
FMS can show seconds if you select RTA over a certain waypoint.
