Almost forgot about this fight in the manga/anime but I'm so glad they added it to the game. Natsu fighting Gildarts shows the immense growth he's had throughout the story. Love Gildarts as a character and I'm sad he never really got much screentime in most arcs, but I guess that does add to his mystery and coolness :D

Tbh anyone else wish this game was a naruto style fighter as opposed to the turn base fighting

That'd be really nice but it's more difficulty and costly to execute. It'd have to be done by the same studio then imo. But even with this turn-based system, a hyped up ending to the battles with fluid cutscenes and quick-time-events would've been so good like in the Naruto games would've been so good!

It took me 5 times to beat him and he got almost beat me when you go the second round with him but Mavis showed up and healed me. Talk about lucky lol

I have level 77 Natsu, and I beat Gildarts through heal spamming and awakening spamming. I also save the magic chain for the second HP

@@Swrinny I beat this man with level 99 natsu. I took no risk and beat his ass in 3 turns both times *I now i have natsu wendy sting rouge and gildarts at maxed all stats and reset their levels 2 times* xD

@@Swrinny Thanks, but i am kinda dissapointed with good amount of things with this game *barely and animated cutscenes, charcters not wearing the outfits of that arc becuase you have to pay for it* hell they had natsu beat the battle god in his starting outfit in the cutscene not with his arm band on. but overall i gave this game around a 7.5/10

You need to have cleared the Epilogue story chapter and Natsu needs to have cleared the S-rank exam

Im not sure if its nostalgia, but I dont remember Natsu's voice being so high pitched and annoying lol. Still, hyped cutscene!!

I had natsu at 99 with proper Lacrima. and i just had him use Fire Dragon King mode and just punch him.then id lose it. re awaken for health and do it again.

You can also try upgrading your lacrima or having a drink at Cana's bar. Make sure to keep the fairy chain gauge ready for phase 2 and don't forget that awakening actually heals Natsu quite a bit

“That is the magic that’ll defeat Acnologia!” Pushes Gildarts away only a few feet. Anyone else disappointed in this scene? I mean come on, he defeated the God of war but only pushed Gildarts a few feet?

There's a few things you can try: level Natsu all the way to 99, equip him with better Lacrima's (I recommend the ATK/DEF/LUC/HP/Fire Dragon ones at either lvl 4 or lvl 5), have a drink at Cana's bar in the guild for a stat boost and bring plenty of health items. During the fight itself I'd save the chain attacks for his second phase and use awakening in the first phase whenever you can. If all else fails, you can temporarily turn the difficulty down to easy via the settings (you can change this back after the fight). Good luck!

@@abdullahalsalman7606 You need to do his character stories in order for the other 7 to unlock. If you head to your guild hall, make sure to swap to a different character than Natsu. Natsu will appear in the guild with a star-icon above his head so you can pick up his character story quest.

turned my difficulty to easy for this and beat him at level 65 because i cannot stand this trope in video games. grinding to the very end of a game in order to unlock something but by the time its unlocked you're practically finished with the game so what is the point? dont feel bad about it at all when unlocking a character is at stake. back to hard now
