It's almost a relief to see that someone else appreciates this film as much as I do. Being 33 now I feel like it may be a forgotten movie, but like you said it really changed my life (and not in some evil way like ppl might think). Everytime I hear certain song like the one playing during their wedding (If I Was Your Woman...) or Waiting for the Miracle, it makes me feel exactly like how I felt during that time- just sadly not enough to make it reality again instead of a memory.

"Let's give that key lime pie a day in court..." This movie has been in my top ten list since I first saw it in '94. If I were a serial killer, I'd want to be Mickey and Mallory.

lol NBK is hilarious!! I grew up with this movie, and I could name so many quotes!! Great soundtrack, awesome directing/editing. Total Classic. Also the shot where Mickey rides off into the desert is in Shiprock, NM. The highway that Wayne GAYLE stands next to that is the notorious 666 is now highway 491. "...where dem shrooms Mallory, mine ain't kickin in yet.."

BRAVO! The tornado scene background is the Shiprock, in NW New Mexico, not far from Winslow. Met actor Tom Sizemore in Albuquerque. He said that movie was the highlight of his career! Oliver Stone did an awesome job with the Native American scenes.

I have to comment on Jessica's dance in the beginning. So, I'm sitting here at work watching with the sound off, but have it on CC and Jessica looked like she was doing The Cure's dance routine in their video "Why Can't I be you"..turns out she's not, but she's so cute in that furry outfit. 💗

I love this movie so damn much! I loved it when I saw it for the first time at the cinema back in '94 (fuck me dead, I'm old...) and I loved it even like 100 times more when the director's cut was released. When one of my former girlfriends left me, she stole my beloved Micky & Mallory shirt (a version I can't find anywhere anymore), so being black-out drunk constantly for like two weeks after she left was probably more due to the fact that I lost the shirt, not the girl. 😂 Tarantino hates "NBK", but I somehow can't shake off the feeling that he's just bitter about Stone making this masterpiece based on his story instead of himself. If you don't want anyone to temper with your story, then you better don't sell the rights (probably for some pocket change) - it's as easy as that, isn't it?
