Something i find interesting are digimon that exhibit power exceeding that of the expected power of that level, like lucemon rookie. Even though its a rookie, its stronger than a lot of ultimates. I believe this is due to the utilization of data. For example, an abacus and a smartphone are the same physical size, but the smartphone is a lot more powerful than an abacus. You can also look at pokemon gold/silver, before iwata intervened, they couldn’t fit johto, but after he got involved they had enough space to fit kanto despite it being the same sized game cartridge. I think this principle allows some digimon to exhibit power way beyond their level

I think Digimon Evolution stages are really interesting and seeing how strong each other the stages are seeing how the stages from Champion onwards are hard for a digimon to achieve that why Digimon mostly need a human partner to help them to digivolve into in many of the different Media.

It's incredible how many people think Digimon have a fixed development. That's why there are further developments in Digimon 2020. These are not Pokemon and even then some have different evolutions like Eevee. At most, there are paths that are easier to reach from one point. A Digimon's path is no more fixed than a child's development; His wishes, dreams, experiences and commitment pave the way. So weregarurumon is bipedal and metalgarurumon in quadrupedal Maybe when gabumon warp digivolves to metalgarurumon it skips traits from weregarurumon who is bipedal. Making cresgarurumon the more natural evolution of weregarurumon

This was nice though it does feel like there are way too many megas and ultras and too few champions.
