Added that to m y medicinal garden last year and had little idea about its uses, seeing how well it survives in my Alberta Climate that has not the ficticious global warming.

This is Glechoma hederacea, not Lamium Amplexicaule. It is not toxic, so you got lucky with a misidentification .. They do look a little alike, though, don't they? (edit) I wrote 'purpurea' for the species name instead of amplexicaul.. must have been sleepy :) note that the leaves here are not clasping a square stem?

Thanks for mentioning this. I'm not an expert but noticed that the plant he featured is definitely NOT henbit.

It is creeping charlie, Glechoma hederacea - not Lamium purpurea (purple deadnettle) or lamium amplexicaule (henbit deadnettle) It ranks with geranium for palatability, but at least it isn't poisonous! Good Eye.

I'm not sure that's Henbit. Check this link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b5-olJSBtdralWw.html And I never heard of Henbit Dead nettle. There is a Purple dead Nettle that looks like Henbit.
