READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING SOMETHING STUPID!
I KNOW there are a lot of people who don't do horsemanship with their horses and STILL have a great connection! Just like people who is DOING natural horsemanship CAN be total idiots! I made this video for three reasons.
1. I was bored.
2. I wanted to show how bad it can get if we continue like most people are doing today. And there ARE a lot of people today who don't beat the crap out of their horses, yes, but they do ride in a really bad way. And if we keep going like this... well, then mabey we will end up like the people in the begining of this vid?
and 3. I wanted to show how BEAUTIFUL horsemanship can be. I don't know what the people in the secound part of the video are doing to make their horses do everything they do, but I think most of them probebly are doing it in a nice way. And i wanted to show what a beautiful bond there can be between a horse and a human.
So PLEASE, don't comment on that. I don't need to hear another "But i've seen NH-people who've beaten their horses!!" and so on. I know, I really do! It's years since I made this video, I can't really be kept resposible for it because I have change since then! I agree with it, but I'm not afraid to admit that I'm really one sided and a bit harsh in this video.
If you don't like the video... just ignore it and go and eat a carrot!

Don't bully my grammar. ;)
Movie Maker and KZfaq killed the quality.
I don't own anything!
Songs;
Requiem for a Dream
We Are One - Ladysmith Black Mambazo
THE CLIPS ::
I don't know who the people in the beginng is. Just a random clips I found on KZfaq. But I'll name all of the others, since a lot of you've asked:
Jean-François Pignon - The guy on the beach with a lot of horses
Stacy Wesfall - Girl in white who's riding bridleless on a black horse.
Honza Blaha - Guy with chestnut horse doing tings in liberty.
Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling - Guy with a GORGEOUS white horse (Andalusian?)
Sylvie Wilms - Girl in white with a white horse

The beginning had me in tears. Still does. I can not imagine denigrating the majesty of such a regal creature for any reason--especially sport/money. Thank you for the beautiful and happy ending.

As a vegan, I can not understand why "regal" or "beautiful" animals should deserve a better treatment than all other animals? I think the way that humans are treating animals is a disgrace, regardless of how the species look to us. Apart from that, I agree! :-)

The judge at the competitions must change too. A refuse in jumping is a penalty, but to whip a horse to make it jump, it's fine. Even, you are not allowed to compete without bits, riding bareback or barefoot, because you can embarrassed them. Who practice horsemanship must keep hidden because is not well seen

Omg, the first one and a half minute made my skin crawl. I don't get how those people don't have people barging in to the arena and publicaly discualify them instantly! :o But the rest was so nice, i'm really getting into the whole horsemanship method. Gotta prepare for the future, really inspiring video! So thank you for that! :)

Seeing natural horsemanship makes my heart swell with happiness. Those who beat those horses and force them, those horses misbehave because they don't enjoy it. they don't like it. it makes me want to jump into those rings and stop those people. A horse can enjoy that, a horse will do what you ask, you just have to ask kindly with a good heart.

To people who say bits and saddles aren't bad, check out some of the Nevzorov Haute Ecole's research. It proves that bits are made to directly effect the clusters of nerves in the head. It also shows that even the best fitted saddle cuts circulation off in the back. After a year of riding, a horse needs one and a half years at least to completely heal. The longest a horse can go with a saddle on is fifteen minutes. Any more and the back will have long-term damage. The truth is revealing itself. Join the Horse Revolution Act!

I really like this video. The beginning makes you want to cry. And the reast almost makes you cry of joy. I saw Pignon in the Globe, in Stockholm, Sweden a couple of years ago, and it was absolutely amazing. For several minutes I was hoping it wasn´t ending soon.. And when he was done the whole arena was standing and applauding for several mintues. And before he started Pignon had said he wasn`t sure we would like it.. What he has with his horses, I want when I get a horse.

Amazing video. I think it says it all. You don't even have to be extraordinary to form a bond like that with a horse. It just takes dedication, and the ability to listen to them. Wow, those first clips really go to show that some of the worst treated, worst ridden horses are those in the show arena. So many people have this mentality that it's "the horse's fault" and think the best way to correct is to punish. You don't train dogs by beating them, you don't train horses by beating them either. Positive reinforcement and baby steps are the key. These performance horses would do much better with gentler handling. Great video.

I love this. I love how beautiful some English riding is, but how much prettier would it be if their heads were free and not pushed in uncomfortable, and frankly cruel positions? And how much happier would people be if they knew that they are not treating them cruel to get them to walk like that, but are using natural beautiful horsemanship based off trust and love?

I know a lot of people complain about people using crops on their horses. They aren't actually cruel unless they are used like in the beginning of this video. A crop is more of a confident boost. I ride with one but I also do natural horsemanship with my horse. I don't push him I let him tell me how far he can and wants to go. We are a team and I love my horse dearly. This video is very beautiful and well done. I love it.

An awful lot has to change in the world of horses. Horses that are seen as being difficult and problematic are usually the ones who strongly dissaprove of their handler and extreme strap work . Unfortunately, this is true of most equestrian disciplines. Contessaan, I like your wake-up video!

People now use horses as a tool to earn money but honestly look at it people used to hug their horses and kiss them but now there is abuse. Horsemanship is extremely rare now but those born in the hands of Horsemanships are born to know the difference between I love you and you mean the world to me my beautiful horse. Horsemanship is where you work with the horse at first and then that horse sees you and gets excited and will run up to you and just be so happy. Let's bring it back let horsemanship show the world who we really are 💕

And to quote one of my favorite authors: “For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much-the wheel, New York, wars and so on-whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man-for precisely the same reasons.” So long and thanks for all the fish.
