I have a widow's peak too and my stylist, like you, did not pull strands from the peak. Looks silly when the hair is pulled back. Please pull strands from the peak and get closer to the scalp with those highlights. She made correction and looks great every time.

Ironic wants a natural money piece but is rocking sharpie eyebrows..

🤔 baby lights..? teasy lights..? I do not recall these terms or techniques in my cosmetology textbook. I can plainly see that you’re simply doing foiled highlights, but I’ll never understand why so many stylists on KZfaq say these things. The concept isn’t lost on me- but it might be on YOUR stylist, depending on your location, salon you go to, etc. Just be sure to SHOW your stylist what you’re hoping to achieve, as these terms aren’t in most (or any- idk, been a long time since I cracked open my textbook 😂) cosmetology textbooks.
