Gorgeous! It would be great if you would include the dimensions of the main body of the ponds in the description so we have a better understanding....I'm personally interested in knowing the w/l/depth and the difference between the dugout dimensions vs. the interior dimensions once the rocks are in to better grasp how much room there is to swim, or for fish if it's not a recreation pond.

I'd love to build something like this at home. I live approximately 2hrs north of the suburb of this pool and love to swim. But we have a big problem with toads up here. Toads are an invasive species in Australia and damn hard to get rid of or to keep out of ponds. We see them pretty much every night around here.

It's running natural filtration system after the water has been flocculated where all the turbidity and murky stuff that's in the water column precipitates out and deposits on to the bottom of the pond. A vacuum hose by gravity feed to suck up all the mud and muck. Then the plants in the natural terrace wetland is used to filtrate out particulates and to help feed the plants. The only thing that's required is the pump up pickup water from the pool skimmer and then send it up top through it wetland. Also because the water is constantly moving it makes it too difficult for egrets to come and completely obliterate your entire fish stock in 1 sitting! Yeah don't ask how I know that🤨

We had something along these lines in a water garden, when we lived on the boating canals at South Yunderup in Western Australia. Boating canals connected to the Mandurah Estuary & the Estuary to the ocean. Only problem with our freshwater ponds / water garden system, was it was old & leaked so we were forever topping the water up & got huge water bills. Then a local species of bird called night herons would come and roost in our trees over the ponds and eat our goldfish / carp / koi. The night herons are water bird predators that eat fish out of the estuary so our ponds were like fish in a barrel for them. Being native birds they are protected species - so it was a $10k fine if you shoot them & I was the local wild life officer supposed to enforce the Wildlife Protection Act, so I could hardly do anything to keep them at bay. I do miss our water gardens a lot.
