Officer Shabby is one fine Trooper who means business and plays fair. The interaction he had with this man is exactly how things should go on all stops. The gentleman he stopped was very respectful and a real gentleman. He didn't give the trooper any cock and bull story and told him the truth. He acted with so much respect that I was, and still am, totally amazed at his actions. He stood there with his hands on the trunk and was very cool, calm and collected. Kudos to both of them for being the gentlemen their mamas raised.

Watched a lot of field sobriety test and this is the first person I have seen pass it!!! Congrats bro.

That went about as good as it could go.

It was interesting to me that this guy turned and put his hands on the back of his car while waiting on the officer. No loud mouth. No arguing. I so glad he passed the sobriety test. He seems like a very likable and respectful young man. Someone taught him well. He was honest with the officer about his destination and where he had been before the stop.

Trooper Shabby did an excellent job keeping the OATH he swore when he decided to become an ASP. .....GOOD JOB!!!

Trooper let him go because the man showed nothing but respect and was under the limit and I think the trooper did the right thing. People don't drink and drive it's not worth ur life or someone else or prison for any length of time

Before the trooper had the guy do the standard field sobriety tests, the trooper mentioned the guy did not have the odor of alcohol on his person. It was also mentioned that the guy blew Zeeerooos on the PBT. In my opinion the trooper was in overkill mode for having the guy fo all those additional tests.

I hope this is the one and only interaction he has with the police. I know he can make better decisions from now on.

He was trying like hell to convict his ass he just couldn’t, and WTF took his ass so long? If they can’t be more efficient than that maybe he needs a helper and/or in his off time be practicing. Time is money people, that was the longest pin test I have ever seen, and I don’t want to hear no bullshit about how he was making sure he wasn’t on anything else. Bcuz if it takes him that long to do that test then he is not confident in his ability to administer it. That test is designed for a trained officer to know the results on the third movement. If they can’t accept PBT results then they shouldn’t give them. Go straight to FST. It’s all about money, they should be like firemen and set at the station til they are needed. They don’t stop crime they create criminals. Think about that b4 you say I’m a idiot. They are called after the crime. Just as firemen are called after the fire. I don’t see fire marshals and fireman out patrolling stopping fires b4 they start.

This whole transaction took way too long to detain him. 10 or 15 minutes should be plenty of time to writer him a ticket after he gave him the PBT. Both officer and motorist were very cordial with each other. Regarding the PBT, the officer failed to explain the test and ask him if he wanted to take it. “Here blow on this” doesn’t really cut it. On the other FS tests the officer explained them and asked the gentleman if he wanted to take them and he did. Good stop overall with the exception of the lack of explaining the PBT asking if he would take it and the length of the stop. Over 45 minutes is way to long to drag this out.
