In case anyone is wondering, three of the chicks, including the cuckoo, died to a predator. Only one chick survived.

Cockoo is so greedy that it doesn't eat food after mothers gives it to it, wants some more and keeps mouth open to get some more. After the mother leaves, it starts eating food.

Yeah that's a good question, I guess maybe they just haven't adapted a defense to this? But it sure seems like the intruder knows exactly what he needs to do and everyone else seems a little clueless including the parent. Parent is a prolific hunter at least I'll give it that.

このカッコウは他の小鳥を巣から押し出す事が出来なかったようですね。それでも親鳥は、鳥の「1度受け入れた卵は大人になるまで育てる」習性で自分の子供でなくても育てていますね。

The cockoo chick is just too competitive for food that it gets fed the most. It displays more hunger than the other chicks. Very annoying bird.

A lot of people are asking why the little chicks don't push the thing over. I guess they either don't think they have the strength or don't have the strength... Or they just having adapted a defense mechanism to this. I'm still really curious where the hell this footage is coming from. I hope someone's not manipulating these circumstances for content

Me deja muchas dudas este video. El cuco se deshace siempre de la competencia cuando están recién nacidos los pajaritos y aquí vemos unos pajaritos ya emplumados. Espero que no sea este un montaje para ganarse likes.

吃不到就攻擊😮 不過幼鳥都長大了，母鳥真的認不出不是自己幼鳥了嗎？看到過有一些母鳥和幼鳥奇特組合，只有20天左右的幼鳥體型都大過母鳥自己最少2-3倍都認不出，不斷餵.. 但是上述這個母鳥餵食幼鳥的畫面真有趣，母鳥很小但幼鳥很巨大，而且不斷叫母鳥餵食很搞笑。😂

Yeah it's wild for all the footage we see on KZfaq I haven't seen any of them actually laying the eggs. Makes me a little suspicious that some people might actually be physically putting cuckoo chicks in different types of nests just to get content but maybe I'm just very cynical

In fact, cuckoos go to other bird's nests to lay eggs. After laying the eggs, they stay nearby and observe until the cuckoo can fly.

Si que es un cuco. Si te das cuenta opaca a los demás polluelos para que solo le den comida a el y picotea a la madre cuando ve que no le da comida algo que los demás no hacen. Es común que los cucos tiren a las crías del nido, seguramente no pudo por el sitio en el que se encontra 😅 🙂🙃

@ 9:08 the Parent stands tall and stands absolutely still for few good seconds maybe trying to figure what to do with this greedy, noisy, vicious and violent intruder before the cuckoo pecks at him to reality. He awakens and continues to feed the little sob. Also the cuckoo could directly take the food from Parent mouth without waiting for it, but it insists on adopting the sit and raised head up open wide and bitch mode rather then a kiss peck to take it from parent mouth.
