I always loved the music from this ad, I only discovered who it was by when KZfaq was first around and someone else put this clip up! Reminds me of my dad withdrawing money when I was pretty young. They should do a follow up ad now with the same guy!

That was an actual functional Natwest branch on Castle Street in Liverpool until they moved out sometime either last year or 2018. It's a shame because it's one incredible building.

I recall working out it was in Liverpool by the end scene, as its quite a well known view. However I have no knowledge of the branch.

What confuses me though is the scene with the Liver Buildings is at the bottom of Water Street. You can’t see them from the old branch on Castle Street.

At the time I worked for the same bank, in the same position and was the same age. And if you dated a co-worker one of you would have to get a transfer - dating staff in your branch was banned. So was having a bank account with any other bank or going overdrawn

That one is called “Daniel’s Mum” about a Mortgage advisor; there is also (from memory) one called “Skittles” featuring a Pensions Advisor; one called “Greengrocers Son” for the Business Manager and “Riding A Bike” for Share Dealing. “Filling the Machine” got a lot more airtime than the others. Can anyone please identify and post or link the bank ad with Crocketts theme and a storyline of a father, in his home library room, writing a letter to his son who is far away in a jungle with natives, living his own life. The father gives his son advice about the future and tells him (if I remember) to live his dream. Powerful emotion.

This advert reminds me what a bunch of 💩 Natwest are nowadays. Closing tons of branches, removing loads of ATMs, making many staff redundant - yet still paying a crap interest rate on savings and expensive loan rates. Not to mention de-banking customers they don't like.

@@dpa7175 hahaha oh fcking hell. Mate, I live in London. Funnily enough, it’s a diverse city with many different cultures and (*gasp*) skin tones (and I have absolutely no issue with that, at all). The latest census showed that it was about 60% white and 40% non-white .The same in many other cities in the UK (where most people actually live), so guess what? it makes sense for advertisers to reflect this broad demographic, as you know they want to appeal to as many people as possible. Tell me, why are you find all these non-whites in UK adverts to be such an issue (without telling me you’re just a little bit racist). I mean you can always boycott companies who have more than 99% white people in adverts if it really bothers you?
