There's a major possibility that if this song had made it into FOUR, Zayn might have not left the band. Zayn spent months making this song and him and NB were convinced that it'd be their first single for the album but it the end it was totally cut from the album because apparently it was "too grown up" for them. It was only that time that zayn started skipping many major interviews and even a release event and started to seem very off and much quieter than usual. I never blamed Zayn for leaving the band but after listening to this story, I can't help but feel sorry for him, the boys and the fandom. It's because of their fucking management that we had to lose Z, and probably why the band split up. I hope whenever they do a comeback, they get a great management and become much more independent.
