Naughty Dog's Next Game NEWS UPDATE
So nearly four years after The Last of Us 2 and its ending we got confirmation that Naughty Dog is working on at least two new PS5 Single-Player Games! Naughty Dog confirmed more than one ambitious, brand new single player games that they are working on! Neil Druckmann recently talked about Naughty Dog's next game in multiple interviews and its shaping up to be a game changer and the most thrilling one yet! In my mind, Naughty Dog's next game will be a new IP! Could it be the rumored Stray's Cross or something entirely different! The Last of Us 2 ending clearly to me sets up The Last of Us Part III the sequel. Could we see a NEW Playable Characters in a new Last of Us game? On Naughty Dog's website, they're looking to hire a Lead Gameplay Animator, and under responibilities, they must be able to "Craft gameplay animations for a broad range of creatures of varied types". So, whatever they're working on next, is going to have a bunch of creepy creatures. I'm hyped!

I have long thought that this new ip is gonna be something similar to rings of power that naughty dog released on the genesis. I know that was a lifetime ago & it was made by basically andy & jason but the art on the walls in some of those houses you tore through in part 2 is eerily reminiscent. Whatever it is, I can't wait to hear Neil talk about it.

As much as I would love TLOU 3, I will be so happy to see a brand new game from Naughty Dogs. For them to gather all they have learned from TLOU, and show it in some new world we can enjoy just as much. Thank you as usual Dom for keeping us informed ❤ We all wait eagerly for the big games reveal. I personally want to see trailers 😅

Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if we have to wait until the PS6 for Part III to come out. I just don’t see it being at the end of the PS5, My guess is It’ll be one of the Debut Games for the PS6

tech-wise, 100% it makes sense. profits-wise, i think they'll wanna recover from the remaster/remake weirdness as well as ship off a new game with neil as director before he retires soon

@@jesseoverdijk318 no this was debunked in the documentary where he confirmed that they had an theme or concept for the third game which has a "through-line" to each instalment but they don't have a story or a big idea, and that it's mostly just currently in Neil's planning/(imagination maybe?). if you don't understand watch the end of the no return doc for tlou2

Going by their recent track record, because I’ve been a fan of Naughty Dog since Uncharted, the new IP won’t launch until 2026. Part 3 isn’t coming till PS6. Trust me I hope I’m wrong but given that we haven’t heard anything official yet I assume it’s just not ready. Especially considering they wasted so much time and resources on the cancelled Factions 2.

At about 7:54 As much as I would love TLOU 3 to come out next year I don’t think that’s gonna happen cuz they haven’t even released a trailer yet I do think however with the release of TLOU Season 2 coming around January 2025 it would be the PERFECT time to announce TLOU3 cuz that’s just the smartest thing they could do to be honest cuz like U said the show viewers might come over to the game and I believe the hype would be ever better that way

@DomTheBomb Yeah. Tlou1 and 2 are almost identical with some few upgrades but still ... I remember uncharted also had new guns mechanics,levels and the best multilayer/co op.

Naughty dog should do a game set way way way in the future. It could be medieval like with swords etc. but it could be earth hundreds or thousands of years after the cordyceps have taken over and killed pretty much everyone. So there’s a new world with nature taken over and humans have had to start again. It brutal with swords, armour horses type thing but with ancient ruins that you sometimes encounter and the odd infected peasant.
