I hope to sail around the world like a flight simulator.

Id love to have a super realistic ship sim like this at home which mimics those homemade flight sims. That would be a blast.

I really hope they are gonna put effort on civilian boat too. Beeing able to practice mooring your weekend boat for your family, would DRASTICALLY expand the audience of this simulator. Also sail boats (without usable sails of course) should be taken in considerarion. Setting challenging mooring missions should be one of the main focus in my opinion

Had last 2 by V STEP, Ship simulator extreme lookling forward to the new one.

Yesterday I luckily could try it at my school and the professional version is really good and useful so hopefully the home version will be like that I loved it 🤩

This is really great. I am getting into boats, more recreatoional style in the 30-40' Sea Ray cruisers catagory with radar, vhf radios, Plotters etc. Would be great if they included soemthing to help boaters like us to learn weather, navigation, signals and how to control boats of a certain size. When spending betwenn 30-60k on a iused boat would be a great start on the simulator before taking classes. I am a private pilate and use xplane and Condor flight simulators to keep the muscle memory fresh.

A nautical version of spintires would be cool.

Microsoft needs to buy this out and add it to MSFS.

I will absolutely purchase a ship controller if they ever release one. Especially if it has Z drive support as well as normal tiller and throttle.

I see they confirmed a subscription model. I already pay enough subscriptions for all sorts of stuff. Not going to purchase this one sadly. Surprised everyone else seems ok with this.

Looks detailed, but in my opinion, not up to the standards of Fishing North Atlantic, by Misc Games. The level of detail in their ships, the ability to roam and interact with all the controls/stations and the water enviornment is outstanding. Their new game, Ships at Sea, out next year, looks like it will take ship simming to a whole new level! So, competition is great, but the devs in Nautis need to take a long hard look at what Misc is producing.

Can you design your own vessel and simulate it? I am trying to simulate a Seastead. See "Model of a Seastead 1/6th scale" on youtube for an idea of what I would like to simulate.

Subscription??? No. I will not pay a subscription to play any game, much less one I've only just heard of, made by an allegedly "reputable" company. Offer it on steam for 30 USD and maybe I'll consider it.

This looks like what Ship Sim Extreme was advertised to look like, it feels too far behind for this day and age.

I don't think you can call that photorealistic in 2024. I get it. It's a sim and the processing and workflow priority needs to be on the physics modelling, but you can't just state that you are doing something photorealistic and release a product that looks like a concole game from the mid 2000s.

Nobody really cares about Android, is they are having any plan to release the game on Android??
