That's good Police work. These Navajo cops are real police. In some big cities they follow the "Shock and Awe" or sometimes the famous, "Yellow-Balls Policy". Big city cops would have come to arrest these guys in full battle gear, APCs and minimum of fifty cops.

I'm a common-sense sociologist, and I travel in scary-ass places with armed guerrillas and terrorists and so on, but skinwalkers scare the living bejesus out of me. I once worked with some Native Americans and they warned me that a skinwalker had been active in a part of their ranch, and I was never so scared to go anywhere as I was to go to that part of the reservation after that.
@trekgirl658 жыл бұрын
+mistressmacha Do you know what a Skin walker is? Or this was told to you to scare you? It was to scare you, from walking onto sacred ground.
@mistressmacha8 жыл бұрын
+trekgirl65 Do you know what a sociologist is? It's my JOB to know about the culture I'm working with. I lived with these guys studying them for weeks. I knew that reservation like the back of my hand by the end of it, and believe me, I knew where and where not to walk within the first DAY. TL;DR: Of course I know what a fucking skin walker is. Jesus fucking Christ.

Still you need to go back to learn world history again. Not everything is in South Africa. This is a big world and a lot of conflicts going on. Watch cable news and find out how busy this world really is and where and on what contenant.

@mistressmacha8 жыл бұрын
+Comfortdoll Same, but Canadian First Nations as opposed to Native Americans (same thing, different name.) You should consider getting DNA typing, they can identify what ethnic origins you come from. I had it done for medical reasons but a bunch of stuff that got flagged is 99% of the time specific to particular groups, so that gave a pretty good indicator. I know you can get it done specifically for ethnic heritage though for a couple hundred dollars, so if you really want to know more, you ought to consider it.

I'm thinking that the howler could be a cougar. They have an impressive vocal range. Or maybe a wolf. I'm having trouble with the"Big Foot" notion. I've read some of the Hillerman books, and I know it's a battle for these cops to keep to their beliefs, as they have to do things that are against tribal taboos all the time. They have to keep a mental map in their heads of who lives where, and who is related to who. There are connections between clans and families going back for centuries. They may find that they have to arrest and haul in someone that's very connected to either themselves, or one of their parents. And that's a loose/loose situation.
