We just spent a week sailing this exact boat in the Mallorca & Spain. I can state unequivocally that this is a spectacular sailing vessel that is ideal for a cruising couple and performs as advertised. It truly turned heads everywhere we went! Hi i would drop the music when your looking at data and detail slides unless you can find something melodic .. this drops in and out of the audible range too much still for many. Balance cats have a good working layout ...i would still want a sun shade for sailing helm up though sunstroke and skin damage are not for everyone. The versa helm is a big plus ... And the general lines are good.. The hulls are not as fine as some as its classed as performance cruising cat... Its not in the next generation class as the likes of the Windelo...with the forward cockpit and all its covered space aft. Stainless steel Solar powered vents are another way keeping a boat fresh when shut up. but in the tropics or far north the high air humidity cause particular problems.. Wipe down surfaces do make things easier to clean up but the other factor is insulation. Insulation works both ways and prevents condensation forming and limits mould.. it also reduces the energy cost of running the boat. Race boats are stripped out but this doesnt make them very comfortable or practical ... Passive ventilation is a huge point for most cruisers and live aboards ...living constantly in Aircon is neither practical or healthy... as well as energy expensive on most vessels. Though advances are been made with new pumps using a third of the traditional types. The problem is this is only been put out through OEM suppliers.. by licencing and as yet cannot be retro fitted unless you choose a supplier using the tech in its replacement units.. So passive measures should be Optimised first. This goes alongside designing in ease of access for inspection and maintainance of all structure and systems. Beauty is as beauty does form should reflect function weather its a bed or a helm station or hull bow design. Variable tint windows or thermally controling blinds should be far more common. Engines motors and drives as well as wether a vessel has to hall out or can stand beaching is important ..as are sacrificial keels or safety crash bulk heads and layouts. Hiting an uncharted body or floating object in the middle of the ocean is an increasing problem with Flash floods and storms taking containers overboard. .. also rare but there are free floating Buoy's and ROVs on and below the surface scientific and military. that can pop up randomly .
