I always felt national media neglected Odisha, I am from Odisha, I am equally sad and happy about two things that, we never had a good opposition party and we are one of few of the states which has a stable government.

Naveen left bjp alliance not due to his wish to use and through as mentioned in video but because there was an anti Christians riots during that time in odisha which was fueled by BJP ,RSS ,,,which made naveen left alliance with bjp....and that made him more supportive to get Christians votes,,,as well as favouring Muslims in all aspects made Muslims support for naveen as always. that's why naveen can't be beatable.

Mr. Banarjee's logic that there was never such a infuencial & popular cabinet minister from Odisha before as now is true but for Dharmendra pradhan their is a proud feeling him among Odia people is so untrue. Let me tell u that he was not that popular in Odisha during Modi wave also.. After only he had given Patrolium ministry & 2014 result he got introduced by people as a credible figure or leader of BJP. & he as CM? Tons of work needed. But obviously their is a space for new regional party which need a connecting narrative. Best of luck odisha for 2019.

Thanks Saurav ji for making a video on Naveen Patnaik... As far as popularity is concerned Dharmendra Pradhan is no where near Naveen Patnaik... Dharmendra Pradhan has only own one election i.e a loka sabha seat from Deogarh constituency which his father left for paving the way for his son... But Pradhan lost the subsequent elections after that.... where as Naveen Patnaik has never lost an election in his whole life.... Most of Naveen Patnaik's Policies are pro poor so he is continuously getting votes from all the village belts of Odisha... And if you really want to know more about him just visit the southern Odisha district of Ganjam which he repersents, has 13 assembly seats and the most populous district of odisha and all the seats are held by BJD and also has 4 cabinet ministers, you will get to know from the people how much work he has done for them....He may loose some seats in western odisha but in the costal odisha, north and south odisha he is not going to loose a single seat... And just to summarize he is so popular not just because of his father Biju patnaik, its because the pro poor policies of Naveen Patnaik in the state which was the poorest state during year 2000 when he took charge and now the GDP growth of the state is around 8% which is much more higher than the national average...

Biju Patnaik, was the first one to land a aircraft in J&K during 1948 war, he was the first one to win dual citizenship - India along with Indonesia for heroically saving Sukarno in a low flying aircraft. Successful in business and states craft. Responsible for Paradeep port, Rourkela steel plant, Hirakud dam, industrialization etc etc. Naveen may have one elections but is no match for Biju Babu

I must say the negative comments are from bjp supporters. But the truth is in these last 18yrs bjp could not even become a proper opposition party but tries to taste power only cause to incumbency. Bjp has not even done 1% contribution odisha neither through state politics or through central politics ..Just a worst party and opportunist ..
